Hi there Murali, I have installed the plugin but it is not working correctly. Can you help me to get it to run?

Problem 1: The option to upload an icon is not working except on one random custom taxonomy out of a few dozen. It is not there on the standard wp posts either. I tried creating a new category to see if it would pick it up but no luck. The custom taxonomy it does work on is not the first either alphabetically or date created – I’ve checked all the settings against the others that don’t work and there is no difference. It’s just one random one!
Problem 2: When I set up the widget, I click off the count and show empty cats options and save but as soon as I do the settings revert.

I have removed any old plugins that added category images or affected thumbs in any way. I’ve turned off most plugins, especially those affecting categories and images except what is essential for the site. I think it’s at WordPress level, probably recent version rather than plugin or theme.
I would love to make this work. I need a display of categories for a custom post type with individual icons (they are property features on a rentals site).

I’ve cleaned cache and database thoroughly.
Happy to supply a login if you can help. Hope we can resolve, I don’t think anyone else provides this feature.

Hi! I just started using this plugin to display my blog categories & subcategories neatly, & I really like the look of it! But I’m having trouble getting some of the settings to work.

I have both ‘show count’ & ‘show empty cats’ unchecked, but on my blog page, the number of posts in each category is showing, & the ‘uncategorized’ category, which ias nothing in it, is showing as well.

Any idea how to get that to stop happening?

how can i show this as a list instead of a dropdown?

I want to show the sub categories where I’m on a parent cat’s page. Its possible (similar like woocommerce category widget)

I was using “Category and subcategory list widget” for several months. When I updated my site recently, I found that it will not produce the neat grid that it did before. It only does when it is standing alone in a post with nothing next to it. When I put it in a sidebar, or embed it using Site Origin’s PageBuilder, it loses all structure. Your thoughts?

This plugin breaks some options in the Total theme customizer.

For example, to turn on or off some page widgets from the theme inside the customizer, it is impossible and non-responsive when your plugin is activated. To make my changes in the theme’s customizer, I have to disable your plugin, make the changes & reactivate your plugin.

Thought you’d want to know as Total is a very popular seller & excellent theme.

I have style the widget to pretty much what I want but…

for some reason, I can’t find the css where the background on hover or focus is yellow. It only shows a very narrow line of yellow in a band below the category icon, title & post count. And only on hover.

The item itself has a white background, it’s really a very thin line below it. I did change the padding & margins to better fit the website style.

My site isn’t live so it’s hard for me to show you. I could send you a screen shot if you give me a place to send it to.

the theme that i use does not presently create a compact way of displaying all my categories (created through the theme)

if i could create my own responsive css list and just add the cat links manually and add this multi col list to my homepage, would be great
