Activate Your CBPRESS License using ClickBank User ID and ClickBank Receipt ID.
To get paid to use this plugin you must first pay ClickBank for the full version of the plugin.
This tells me this plugin is NOT free to use and get paid commission.
I decided to give it a try anyway. To see what game ClickBank is playing at.
Seems there plan is to allow you to import their links to all their products, promote their products, but not get commissions unless you pay them. C
I expect plugins to work, even free ones. When they do not it is waste of everyone’s time, Even ClickBanks’. Time is a human’s most precious commodity. I just wasted my time installing this plugin to learn that it will not work on my hosting.
After reading
https://version.cbpress.com/guide.php
It seems that the plugin might import ClickBank products to your WordPress site. I don’t know for sure it will not even do that for me.
Import Complete
Loaded: 0 categories, 0 products
IF it does import products for you, be sure that you can NOT enter you USER ID and receive commissions until you have paid ClickBank.
Here are the issue I have found in the first few minutes after installation.
First no guidance to Activate or enter you ClickBank User ID.
After clicking, as prompted, to add the shortcode to a page,
this message appeared.
Your server has disabled the “fopen” function. This may be needed for cbpress to properly run.
I am hosted on MY reseller hosting supplied from REDACTED a Wild West Domains Reseller site.
Now I have to deal with server requirements. NOT!
I visited said page to receive this error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/aehageman/public_html/dogpen.com/wp-content/themes/Divi/page.php on line 33
Now I have to turn off my favorite theme from elegantthemes [ Affiliate Link deleted, don’t do that again ]
Wwitching to twenty fifteen resolved the issue.
I am very disappointed in this Official ClickBank product initial installation.
Message to ClickBank,
It seems obvious that you need help debugging your plugin and user interface. Please hire a third party to assist you. Preferably someone that is NOT a WordPress professional. This will give you an edge on helping more people operate your plugin.

Free to download – COMPLETELY useless until you pay $49+

You can install and configure the plugin, but to actually use it you have to pay.
I have no problem with people being paid for their work. However I think its against the rules of this website to advertise a paid product in a deceptive way. If it were said, somewhere, “You must buy this plugin at our website before you can actually use it,” I probably would have bought it. As things are, I feel deceived. Virtually all plugins here are free, and those that aren’t at least say so.

This is slightly odd ; I used to have their odder product CBFront and they suddenly stopped and converted it to this product . I emailed them several times asking for help … but get a really disturbing response to my support request for this new product .
All I get to say is this : pretty shady outfit !!!!

I’ve been using CBPress from day one and the updates have fixed minor glitches. I haven’t had any big problems to speak of. But I am a patient person and understand why upgrades exist even for WordPress itself. Out of the box, CBpres worked well. I haven’t found any similar plugins that matches CBpress. One email for support wss answered within a reasonable amount of time.

This product isn’t bad, but 1.1.0 WILL NOT WORK correctly in WP 3.5. Your Quick Edit and Status, Visibility and Publish drop-downs will not work. 1.1.0 also causes some issues with PageLines (like dragging your page format in the customization area).
I agree that customer support is lacking. I wrote to them about the Pagelines issue and that they’d be willing to work with them and heard not a peep back.
I have an email out about the 3.5 issues, we’ll see how long it takes them to respond, if at all. Their blog says to come here (with an incorrectly typed URL) and download 1.2.0 which doesn’t exist at this time.
Disappointing until they fix everything. Otherwise could potentially be a good money maker.
Those that posted (elienation, pixeldome) obviously work for the company, I’d ignore those posts. This product (v1.1.0) will not work under WP3.5.

This plugin had a few glitches in the latest WordPress upgrade which is very, very common, especially with a plugin this advanced. But I highly recommend CBpress. There is not another ClickBank Marketplace plugin that touches it. A++!

Had some problems since latest WP upgrade, but they are solved now in follow-up on my ticket & post.
It’s in my view a great product for a low price. Problems do happen to the best from time to time.

I have both – this plugin and their main product . Both have not been updated and support is non existent .
Just awful overall experience .

I just wasted $37 on a plugin that I can’t activate.
While the plugin accepted my ClickBank Affiliate ID, it does NOT recognize my ClickBank Receipt number. Whenever I try to activate the plugin, I see the message “Please enter a valid ClickBank Receipt”
I emailed support through their contact form over 24 hours ago and am STILL waiting for a response.
Total waste of money!!

I find it unusual that there is no support (my emails have been ignored) and this is a PAID plugin. Response has been better from FREE plugins…go figure!

Works as expected but gives javascript conflicts with other plugins, probably something related to jQuery scripts. I have to disable two of my plugins to keep this working.

Paid plugin. They don’t tell you until after you install it.
Should be clearly marked as a commercial plugin, but is not.
