I’m planning to switch from the Flamingo plugin to the Contact Form 7 Database plugin (https://ninjateam.org/contact-form-7-database/). I was wondering if it’s possible to customize the information displayed on the listing screen within the WordPress dashboard.

BTW it would be great to have a tool for importing information from the Flamingo plugin.

I need to grant access to editors, but couldn’t find a setting ou capability name to assign to the role. How can I do it?

I am wondering if the addon is able to save and handle attachments? In the doc, demo and on screenshots i was not able to see or read something about it.

ID(User ID) is being automatically fetched, now that ID(User ID) has to be sent to the customer in the mail. What can be the shortcode of ID(User ID), do I need it?

Can you display db data on the front-end of the site with a short code or another method? Also, I tried logging into your demo with u/p demo/demo and it does not appear to be working.

My form has three steps. I want to scroll to this field if there is an error in any step. But it doesn’t work in the first two steps. Works only in the last step where the submit button

I am thinking of purchasing this plugin but had a questions before if anyone can help.

I’m adding user signature to a school registration form, and I’m giving parents 2 options: live signature field/box for drawing a new signature or upload an existing signature file.

Your plugin saves/displays the drawn signature as a base64. I have subadmins who will need to view the image in the admin panel, which is currently impossible.

The CFDB7 plugin displays the drawn signature as a .png link in its admin table, which is viewable simply by clicking the file link. But, as I mentioned in the other post, CFDB7 doesn’t allow editing of the db entries, which I also need.

I know I could allow only the upload option, which forces the user to create their signature file off-site, but allowing the live draw box makes for better UX.
Also, many users won’t be tech savvy enough to bother scanning (or photographing) their signature and then editing the digital signature file to accommodate the dimension/size limits which will be imposed.
I could force my subadmins to paste the base64 into a decoder/converter, but I don’t want to burden them with that (and likely have to train them to do it, too!).

This should be simple, for example this method, but there doesn’t seem to be an update-proof way (hooks) to do it with your plugin.

If there is no easy way to add my own conversion with your plugin, then consider this a feature request.

I have a relatively complex form for which I need to prevent saving null value fields to the database.

The form in question is for registering multiple students. The number of students is selected by the user, with conditionally toggled sections repeated per that number.
If there is only one student, I don’t need empty fields for 4+ non-existent students saved to the db.
IOW, in this particular case, I need to not save the hidden field groups. Hidden groups don’t get validated and shouldn’t be saved, because their fields are empty (clear_on_hide function).

I will have subadmins who will be handling the user registration data, and having all those blank entries is clutter that makes viewing/editing much less convenient, as they have to scroll way down to get to the bottom to view other pertinent data, such as user attached signature.

I am able to eliminate null fields via hook with the CFDB7 plugin, but I don’t see an update-proof way to do this with your plugin. Unfortunately, the CFDB7 plugin does not allow for editing the db entries via admin panel, so I need your plugin to give my subadmins edit capability.

I’m getting a huge slew of message on my site with this plugin activated of the following nature:
PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined global variable $njt_cf7d_hook_suffix in ~/webapps/fdg/wp-content/plugins/cf7-database/admin/init.php on line 45

How can this be resolved?

so weve been using the free version for some time with a large number of entries recorded in the DB. we didn’t know that exporting would be disabled after a time. we’ve now upgraded to pro but we’re worried about losing the data from the database and the settings.

how od we upgrade so we only have 1 instance of database fr Contact form 7 with all the existing settings and data entries please?

Will this save the data of an in progress form so later I can go back and complete?

Contact 7 5.4 made a major change to file uploads and files are are no longer being saved in the cf7-database folder. Are you fixing this soon?

I have two questions

1: could there be support for the plugin “Contact Form 7 Multi-Step Forms”? right now it works that every form results in a set of Database entries but if one has three steps to complete a form you also have the data multiple times in the database. at the same time it is also handy if one has not completed the survey fully but you already have the data. thus this saves all data you can get is not a bad approach but maybe it should be differentiated to completed surveys.

2: a maybe odd inquiry but I guess there is no other way around to develop one’s own edit entry routine for a CF7 Database entry or is there?
or can one fill a CF7 form to edit an existing database entry?

First of all I really like the plugin.

However now I have an issue which also other plugins don’t solve easily. I want to have a cf7 text field which should only allow unique values (meaning it should not exist twice in the database). is there a possibility to add a function.php hook / a custom validation or something with the help of your plugin to achieve this?

three pre-sale questions:

1- We use our CF7 for people to submit a registration with a total number of >20 fields, some of them conditional. Is that a problem for the plugin, will it work fine including the CSV download?

2- We have 2 forms with partially identical fields. Will the submitted values be stored in the same table or will it result in two different tables?

3 – Our site is translated to Hebrew (RTL) – will that cause any issues?

Congratulations the plugin is fantastic. I wanted to ask if there is the possibility of seeing the number of forms sent by the current user ( wp_get_current_user() ).
Example: Hello User, to date you have sent requests: “5”.
I would like to use a snippet that gives me the number of forms submitted.

I realized that when my site was translated into English, my form (contactForm7) no longer records the email addresses entered on the site.

– I have created two forms, one for French and one for English with a different ID and name.
