Anyone here? Is this a lost cause plugin?
]]>I would like to volunteer to help maintain this plugin. I have some modifications.
]]>I’ve some problem with this plugin. When i install it on my site i cannot login (or allow other to login) with any user profile: the login bar disappears.
Is this a wordpress compatibility problem? I’ve buddypress installed too.
Thanks
]]>I bought this website and the other guy had this plugin installed. Chapters 2.2
I don’t need it for what I’m doing and when I try to delete it, I get the page that shows Delete Plugin at the top and then when I click on “Yes, delete these files and data” it goes to a blank screen. I gave it 10 minutes several time but the plugin never deletes.
How do I delete this plugin?
]]>Hello everybody, I must sadly report a bug concerning the uninstalling process of Chapters. If you try to suppress Chapters, you might raise an error message.
As a matter of fact, it requires to change a single line of code inside the ‘chapitres.php’ file;
line 50, instead of:
register_uninstall_hook( __FILE__, array( ‘chapitres_database’, “chapitres_DB_desinstall” ) );
please paste:
register_uninstall_hook( __FILE__, array( ‘chapitres_database’, array( &$this,”chapitres_DB_desinstall”) ) );
Of course the next version will not include this bug.
Thanks for your comprehension, yours faithfully,
F.SEVERIN.
]]>It looks like a very good plugin.
At the moment though when I use the css editor to change the font and colours of the links to the chapters, my input is not saved and has no effect.
]]>It’s fine as far as it goes, but it doesn’t go far enough. My suggestions are;
First, rename it, Books
Second, expand the heirarchy
Project: what the author is working on
..Volumes: the books he’s working on. This would come with an outline.
….Meta Chapters: A group of chapters
……Chapters: As in a book
……..Sub-Chapters: Sections of a chapter
……….Sections: Part of a sub-chapter
…………And so on and so forth
The sub-chapters would be each entry as a WP Post or Page. Some chapters would have just one sub-chapter, these including;
..Title page
..Credit Page
..Table of Contents
..Preface
..Forward
..Introduction
..Appendix
..Glossary
..Bibliography
..Index
Standard chapters would have a number of sub-chapters, each on a common topic.
Not all chapters and sub-chapters would be necessary
Chapters may have either Roman numbering, or Arabic. But once Arabic numbering is initiated the author may not go back to Roman. Roman being most often used for the table of contents or before.
Further, certain entries would be automatically updated as the author adds to his document. These entries being:
..Outline
..Table of Contents
..Glossary
..Index
In addition, the ToC would have the page numbers updated as the entries were updated.
Yes, I am working on a few books, and I thought it would be fun to share my work online. A Books plug in as I laid it out above would be a lot of help.
Thanks for your time
]]>Your plugin is lovely, simple but powerful.
I have one question, is it possible to add custom post type to the book?
four php warnings are displayed due to a missing file in chapter 2.0:
Warning: include_once(/var/www/public_html/wp-content/plugins/chapters/classes/chapitres_customize.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/public_html/wp-content/plugins/chapters/classes/chapitres_menu_admin.php on line 24
