Hi, do you consider to support wp 6.2?
Thank you!
]]>Hi There,
I like the Wizard child theme creator, Very easy to use. but with the new 6.1 twenty twenty-three theme, Wizard creator did not bring over child theme variations. Is it possible to do this or are style variations part that can’t be brought over when creating a child theme?
Hi,
I just created a child theme using Child Theme Wizard and now I want to change the thumbnail to a real screenshot of the website. I replaced the file “screenshot.png” in the themes subfolder for my child theme, but in the Appearance page I still see the generic screenshot that came with the plugin.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any hints
Sascha
Hello Buddy,
I love your tool very much. But you are not giving support for the major 3 releases of WordPress. Are you guys stop supporting this tool?
Looking forward to your answer.
Thanks.
Hi,
could you please provide translation strings?
Thanks!
Best regards
]]>When a theme update is released for the Parent theme (theme child was created from) and the Parent theme is updated, how do I know if the child theme carries over the updates and the customizations made in the child?
Or, once the Parent theme is updated, should I just create a new Child Theme?
What is the best course of action for updating the parent theme and/or child theme?
]]>Very pleased with Child Theme Wizard!
I’m currently trying to cut down on the volume of plugins I’m running.
Is it safe to disable or delete Child Theme Wizard without negatively impacting the Child Theme I created with it?

]]>When I activated the child theme created with the plugin I started getting http 500 errors for the entire site including the wordpress admin panel.
]]>Just used this plugin to create a child theme the Elegant Themes, Extra theme. Simple to use but after activating the child theme I’m getting the following undefined variable:
Notice: Undefined variable: parent_style in /home/xxxx/public_html/xxxxxxx/wp-content/themes/Extra-Child/functions.php on line 13
Any suggestions how to fix this?
Thanks.
]]>I want to have a child functions.php and when I copy the functions.php to the child folder, the site breaks. I tried just putting the modifications in the child folder functions.php assuming that it would be added to the standard functions.php in the main theme folder when the page is loaded. No luck.
How can I modify the functions.php and not lose my edits when the main theme is updated? Other than this problem, I like the Child Wizard.
]]>I installed the Theme Fundingpress and then I installed Child theme 1.2 and activated it. After that I followed the instructions to create a child theme of Fundingpress Theme and started modifying the theme.
But where do I find the folder and files of the Child theme created?
The folder I found is this: wp-content > themes > folder Flex***** and inside: functions, screenshot and style. Nothing else. And the other folder with the Fundingpress Theme.
How can I be sure that I really modify the Child Theme and not the original Theme?
I just installed/activated Child Theme Wizard, but I can’t find any instructions to follow as to how to create the child theme. I don’t see any changes in my theme. I have the Sundance theme by Automattic.
What do I have to do with your plugin to create a child theme?
Thanks,
Patricia

]]>A very nice and simple plugin.
You missed one line in the functions.php though that broke dependencies for style.css
When I added $parent_style = ‘parent-style’; everything worked like a charm.
function theme_enqueue_styles() {
$parent_style = 'parent-style';
wp_enqueue_style('parent-style', get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css');
wp_enqueue_style('child-style', get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/style.css', array($parent_style));
}
add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', 'theme_enqueue_styles');

Hi, I’m fairly new to WordPress (although I have successfully created and am running one site) nervous about child themes, but was pleased to find this plugin which will hopefully make this all simpler! I’ve installed it, but in the initial set up page, I’m unsure as to what should be put in the ‘Child Theme URL’ and ‘Author URL’. Also, what is the GPL license?
Thank,
Karen
1.1. update available…
OK, so even if it’s the first update from the initial release, where’s the changelog?
