This plugin works great as an ajax mailchimp form. I’ve had no issues with the functionality of it at all. Boom, it just works. I’ve tried the official MC one and various others. This is the best lite version. The validation is great and well done.

But I did have issues trying to override the CSS styles that are default. This isn’t a big deal if you know html/css and can hunt them down by inspecting the page. But for novices, this would be painful. Possibly a bag of hurt.

I would recommend that the developer possibly provide a list of the css classes which add the background colors, padding, border shadows etc so that people could easily override them. Maybe make a generic form theme option which removes them all, but then enable a field which has the classes and their parameters. Or include a css file that zeros them all out that someone could just fill in and paste in your override area.

For instance, I overwrote these styles after choosing the BLUE theme in the plugin settings.

But it would have been super cool if I didn’t have to hunt and peck those styles out.
THAT SAID, I am not a begger or a chooser. THIS PLUGIN ROCKS and was extremely helpful to me and will surely help you get the job done regarding ajax MC integration.

I have tried all the MC sign up plugins and widgets, and this by far is the cleanest and easiest to style to match your theme. The main reason I gave it 5 stars is this is the only MC sign up plugin I have come across that displays the error and success messages in the same form field area as opposed to expanding the form area or initiating a pop up window. Form was easy to add custom CSS to, to match my theme style and buttons. Great plugin.

Easy to setup, very nice design, works ok but… I couldn’t make it work when displayed on posts, it works fine on pages. Donno what is the problem.

If you want to add MailChimp integration to your WordPress site then Chimpy is the plugin to use! I’ve tried a few other plugins and Chimpy has the best features for creating the forms and customizing them. The forms look the best as far as styling goes and the $19 investment for the pro version gives you plenty of ROI. Thanks!

I have added at least 8 subscribers today and nothing is showing up on MailChimp. On the Chimpy page it says that it is linked via the API.

This is a BIG DEAL because we are in the middle of a big festival where lots of people are subscribing. I have NO WAY of finding those subscribers in person again.

Did I lose them? Please help!
