Hi there,
Firstly, thanks for providing such a great plug-in to the WP community!
I was just wondering, in case the plug-in is still being updated, if any of these features could be in the pipeline for a future update? (I would suggest how to implement them myself, if only I had the development skills to do so):
1) Compatibility with WordPress 4.4’s Responsive Images features (incl. srcset
and sizes
attributes, i.e. ability to pull specific thumbnail sizes)
2) Enable height: auto;
CSS to #cimy_div_id_0
so that headers/images doesn’t all have to be the same size. If you set the height to auto now, the images just doesn’t show at all. I think it might be fine to have the width set to auto though.
I think these two features would improve the plug-in massively.
Thanks!
Jonas

Just wondering how I can edit your script so that all the JS files including embedded Javascript can load just before closing
tag. Is there a way to easily do this?
Great simple to use plugin, would be great to have an option to select whether you load the JS in head or the footer.
Thanks

This is an excellent plugin – great piece of coding.
I want to superimpose some links on top of each rotated image, such as “login” and “register”.

Hi,
I was looking for a header image rotation plugin and yours looks best ?? Basic implementation for WordPress twenty thirteen worked well – but I have the challenge that for smaller screens your rotating images seem to align to the left of the SCREEN, not the left side of the WordPress TEMPLATE. Result: while a normal static (twenty thirteen) wordpress header image always remains CENTERED regarding the template & screen (i.e. a header image is equally cut off left and right of the visible screen border), the images rotating with the help of your plugin get shifted to the right (due to screen alignment on the left – which seems to override the 2013 wordpress template alignment). I tried to look into your plugin code, but as I am not an advanced programmer I could not find where you have defined this alignment. Thanks in advance for a hint!

Hello, I love this plugin, as it was exactly what I needed for my site.
However I ran into an issue. While the animation when using Ken Burns effect was great on Firefox. On Safari & Chrome it was janky. It would jerk pixel-to-pixel around.
In researching a bit, it turns out that the jQuery library used to do this effect, is actually deprecated and unmaintained because: “CSS animations are a better solution now”.
Is there any chance of getting an updated version of this, that does a hybrid of javascript/CSS to get the same effects? So that animation can be smooth on all browsers?
Thanks,
Eli

who has experience with this plugin (using WP4.0 and Theme twenty fourteen) ?
I already spent hours, trying to make it running. But doesn’t work. Seems to me the code does not work with twenty fourteen.
Who can help me with his “header.php”-file?
Any help is apreciated.

I looked to find out how to modify my original question, but couldn’t find this information. However, I now have the plugin working correctly on Firefox but it still doesn’t reflect properly in Internet Explorer or Opera (not sure about other browsers). I tried to seperate them, but give the user profile header z-index positioning higher than cimy header image rotator, but that didn’t work.
ANY other suggestions?

Hi all,
I’ve been trying to get this to work for a few hours now with no luck. What I’ve done:
Made sure there are more than two images in the images folder.
Tried different image types (JPEG, PNG, etc etc).
Different themes (Twentytwelve, Twentyfourteen and a gaming theme).
Various settings in the admin panel and updated the code accordingly.
Disabled all my plugins to see if there are conflicts.
Made sure image dimensions are correct.
Tried viewing the page on both Chrome and Internet Explorer (neither of which work).
Checked the permissions of the files and folders.
Still nothing. The site in question is https://www.forevergaming.co.uk/blog
If anyone has any advice, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks,

I tried with and without the button “Adapt the container’s size to the window’s size (Requires browser page refresh) checked.”
I am not a programmer. I am an artist who can follow directions, so it is OK to be specific. Perhaps it doesn’t work with twenty thirteen and I should use another plugin, in which case, I am open to suggestions.

Hi Marco,
I didn’t like seeing “Loading images…” and a blank header while the header images were loading. So instead, I display the default header image in the theme until the rest of the images are loaded. Then I modified your plugin to start it’s rotation using the default header image so there’s no unfaded transition between the on-page-load header image and the first image the plugin displays.
In keeping with your plugin’s integration with the WordPress Custom Header functionality this is automatic and conditional on a header image being set and the plugin loading the pictures from “Theme’s uploaded”.
If this makes sense to you, you’re welcome to the changes I made.
