I can do it with a barebones TinyMCE instance in a custom app I wrote, but can’t figure it out in this plugin. How can I change the default available colors in the “background color,” button? I need to have a specific blue and pink available without having to go find it in the RGB selector.

I am using Classic Version 4.2.0
It has worked fine for me until this morning when the ability to add a Featured Image to a post disappeared.
I checked with WordPress Support and they are telling me there is a problem with Classic Editor that is likely causing this prolem.
WordPress Support tells me that:
It looks to me like the classic editor developers need to update it.
You could report that here:? https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/classic-editor-addon/
Could you look into this and advised me when the Plugin is updated?
Thank you

But for me it is not a problem, I just load your plugin inside my initialisation. But for others that may be a problem.

I cannot edit or save content when the classic editor is enabled. Troubleshooting efforts revealed that when I disable the
Embed Plus for YouTube Pro – Gallery, Channel, Playlist, Live Stream Plugin the editor works. Might there be a fix for this?
I don’t mean to be rude, but I just wasted a lot of time on a site where I was adding columns with redux blocks and they were not working properly. Eventually I disabled all plugins… and what a surprise.
Due to the naming of this plugin I overlooked it… and when I read the description I thought – well it’s not preventing anything just breaking core function is weird ways.
I suggest that with next update you issue a warning message about how (if ever) this works with the wordpress core.

After the update to 2.6.2, all woocommerce orders fail. With plugin disabled, orders are working correctly. Confirmed on multiple sites.
Hi,
I use Woocommerce and I was a bit confused by this statement in this plugin’s description
Sites running WooCommerce get another style added to the
section of the site. With the Classic Editor Addon installed that call is obviously redundant.
Can you provide some sample code / screenshot of this style?
Do you mean that another style added to the
is REMOVED by Classic Editor Addon? Or is it that another style added to the
is made redundant BECAUSE of Classic Editor Addon?
I hope you are able to understand my confusion. I wish to understand the benefits of a plugin completely.
Thanks
Hello,
With the latest WordPress upgrade I am no longer able to create columns on pages using the Classic Editor.
I have tried plugins that used to do the job using shortcodes and they no longer work. I have tried using

tags and they no longer work.
The developers of my theme tell me that this is the new normal.
I want to continue using the Classic Editor. Does your Add-on fix this kind of problem? If not, is it something you can possibly deal with in a new release?
Thanks in advance for your reply,
Robby Barnes
Hi. I’m definitely committed to NOT going to Gutenberg, so I’m happy to see your plugin.
I want to leave a comment and a question. First the comment. I think calling your plugin “Classic Editor Add-on” sounds like it is an add on to the already-popular plugin called Classic Editor. That plugin has over 5 million installs. I slowly figured out that your plugin is a competing plugin.
I currently use the Classic Editor plugin (not the Classic Editor Addon), but could be persuaded to switch to yours. For me, it is going to come down to support and long-term outlook. I dislike Gutenberg and do not want to retrain my entire staff to use it.
So tell me: why should I get rid of Classic Editor and instead use your competing plugin? I look forward to your answer. Thanks!
Hi, I noticed there suddenly is a Gutenberg button visible above the editor, that can be used to enable Gutenberg. Maybe this has to do with the latest WP update I did on this site? I could hide it through admin css, but I have dozens of client sites, and I’m not really lokking forward to do that with all of them after updating those WP’s.

It has been announced that the classic editor plugin has a limited life expectancy and than eventually it will be altered to move people in the direction of the new block editor and then finally phased out.
My question is: Do you have any plans in the future of building into this plugin the things that are removed from the Classic Editor plugin and incorporate classic editor into this plugin again when it is finally removed from WP?
Thanks for any information you are able to give here.

Hi, like most of us, I just HATE the new editor. It messed with how I had captions and drop caps set up. So, I was very happy to see a CLASSIC EDITOR PLUG IN. It works fine for me, but it has one weird habit: it always defaults to TEXT instead of VISUAL modes. Is there any way to make VISUAL mode the default mode? I much prefer writing / editing in VISUAL MODE.
Probably you are aware about this discussion of how the Gutenberg editor will be announced to the Classic Editor users:

Seems like it’s not needed in most cases now.

Definitely useful.
But what happens once installed and WP 5.0 is updated?
Do we need to still keep the plugin after that or will it be safe to uninstall it?
