Just works, great idea, simple execution

We only service customers from the US and Canada, so we don’t want to allow people from other locations to access the login page.
This works great!

Just enter two letters for the country code on the setting page. This plugin keeps my sites away from more than a thousand hits from attackers! Thank you.

Works very well along with WordFence

This plugin dramatically increases my website’s security and keeps bad actors out of my admin area.
I have a local business. My website does not target international audiences. It does not allow user registration. By restricting login possibilities only to my home country, I block 99% of attackers from my site.

This is a great plugin as it locks my login page to one country only and stops the attempted access.

Been using this for several years. Seems to do the trick pretty well. Crazy see how many different countries are trying to log into my admins.

I had problems with some “spam” users registration.
I installed this plugin and the problem is solved.
Very efficient.

This plugin does what it says, without fuss and no ridiculous upsells for features you don’t need. A really useful plugin if you want to deter the bots and ensure your website users are from specific countries.

I only installed the plugin today, 01/09/20202, and an hour or so after activating CloudGuard, I saw a surprising spike in login attempts all from non-US IPs. Thankfully, they were all blocked by Wordfence. In the CloudGuard section of my WP Dashboard, it shows that about 35 non-US login attempts were blocked. Wordfence reports hundreds of login attempts blocked. Yes, all my settings at CloudFlare are correct.
I’m going to give it a few days to see if anything improves (or not) and then decide whether I’ll delete CloudGuard or not.
My client is a non-profit and has no budget (i.e. Wordfence Premium), so that’s why we’re going the free plugin route. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by me and my client.
Thanks and stay tuned… ??

I consider it essential. You can do the same thing with Firewall Rules in Cloudflare this is highly visible in WordPress’ dashboard unlike Cloudflare’s stats.

Thank you so much for creating this easy-to-use plugin. It has saved my login from multiple brute force attacks. Really is simple and super effective.

This plugin enables WP admins to filter authentication requests at the proxy layer (i.e., at CloudFlare’s network edge) according to geographic locations.
It assumes (a) that one’s WP site is running behind CloudFlare’s proxy and (b) that the pool of potential authorized users is not unlimited; in other words, it assumes that one’s WP site does not allow for unrestricted new user registration.
For the large class of WP sites that meet these two criteria, this well designed and well executed plugin is a great way to add a common sense network security layer to WP’s authentication security.

funciona a la perfección!

Plugin is great and working as a charm!
but remember to activate ip geolocalization in cloudflare panel
It is possible to make it work for entire website, not only for login page? It would be awesome.
Thank you for you work.

After the update two days ago, cloudguard stopped working ??
Before that, it was working great. Now all of my sites’ wp admins are unprotected.
It keeps showing a settings page where you are directed to go to network inside clouflare and activate IP Geolocation. But guess what? That is already activated…
Perfect plugin ruined…Such a shame.
EDIT:
Thanks to the great support, I was made aware that I forgot that I’d changed a setting in CloudFlare.. After making it orange again… the plugin works great!
Changed my rating back to 5 stars ??

We do a lot of US based business, so this is a God Send. Add our country and block the rest.
Thanks

This is working out really well. In addition to the other security measures I have installed both on the server and within WordPress, this plugin really helps in making me feel more secure, and as mentioned, it is really cool watching the stats it generates too.
I run it on a multisite install (with separate domains over https), and it is extra interesting to see that the “old” sites are generating a lot more attempts than the new sites.

Thank you so much for this plugin, it is very simple but blocks almost all unwanted attempts to access wp-admin. Im using it with CF WAF,- great combination, works perfect.

Unless I’m traveling there is no need to allow access to my site’s login page from outside my own country. So I whitelist ONLY that, which for me is the US.
My site is low traffic, but still I get double and triple digit login attempts every month. This plugin cuts them off before they even get a crack.
Furthermore, I have been using this plugin for several years and have NEVER had an issue.
Well done!!
