I installed the cm answers plugin, I created two questions and answers, and then the SEO kravler informed me that I had two problems with content duplication title and meta. Apart from the archive where all questions and answers are usually placed, I also created a subpage in the menu with a script that shows questions and answers because I wanted to add a few words of introduction at the beginning and I did not see this option provided by the plugin. How can I solve my problem with content duplication? Can you give me some advice?

We have been having a problem on the site https://memafleet.com that results in a fatal error. I have been able to narrow the conflict down to the CM Answers and Ulitmate Members plugins. Have in them both activated cases the following error:

I reaced out to the Ultimate Members support team and this is the response I got:

This is a well known issue with UM 2.8.5, which should be fixed by the developers of the “CM Answers Pro” plugin. There will not be a fix by UM developers for this issue.

You can reinstall UM 2.8.4 until fixed by using the “WP Rollback” plugin

In short, I had to roll back the Ultimate Members plugin to a previous version (2.84) to resolve the conflict. The state that the do not plan on doing anything to resolve the issue on their side and punted the issue back to CM Answers. Have you had any reports from other users having the same problem and do you have a fix in the pipeline?

The site is running WordPress 6.5.2 and PHP version 8.0. Please let me know if there is any other information you need

There is something wrong with the plugin as it doesn’t auto-link to URLs on post/question

But it does so on answers ..

If i put a weblink on the post ..it only shows as plain text. (But on answers it becomes a clickable link)

also: i use buddypress and when my users make a post or answer – their names are in plain-text instead of linking to their buddypress profiles like it does on
other Q&A plugins with buddypress integration

Hi,
I’ve got a problem with CM Answers plugin.
When a logged user clicks on a question title, the thread page is loaded but the answers do not appear. The user must reload the page to show it.
When a not logged user click on a question title, the thread page is not loaded but forcing a reload it appears.
Please, how can I solve these two issues? Have I set incorrectly any option?

To elaborate a bit more, think of a Woocommerce product detail page where I’m selling a car. Now, users who want to purchase that car will have questions. So, I want to add a Q&A section below the product so that users can ask questions and seller/other users can answer them.

You can also find something like this on amazon.com where customers can ask questions and the store/vendor can answer it.

Is that possible?

Hi all,
When I first installed this plugin a notification was being sent each time someone had posted a question or answer to a question. No, For some reason, the notifications are not being sent out when someone posts a question or an answer to a question. None of the settings have been changed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I downloaded the plugin for my site which is in Polish, listed as a supported language. However on the main screen I still see English text: “Please log in to post questions/answers:” I checked cm-answers-pl_PL.po file and there is no such string there. Please help. I can’t start CM Answers service even on a trial basis with a welcoming string in English.

Hi I have installed the plugin, but it still says “please login to post questions” when the user is logged in.

This is probably to do with the user roles that we are using are custom user roles (not the usual subscriber role).

How can I get it to work with our user roles?

I find that it is possible to set so that a user is allowed to delete a Question that they have posted.

How about allowing users to delete comments or answers they have posted? Is this possible?

Answer page viewing problem

After installing, I am unable to view some of the CMA pages fully.

For example at the top of the Answer page it partially shows ..

‘Newest’ ‘Highest Rating’ and Toggle button (for scoring).

But those fields are partially hidden behind my site banner.

I was able to make CSS changes to fix other issues.

Can you explain where I need to go (CSS) to change the position of ‘Newest’ ‘Highest Rating’ and Toggle button (for scoring)?

We use CM Answers Pro and CM Answers Anonymous in our enterprise WordPress multi-site instance. PHP 5x is end of life and will now longer be supported after December 31st. That means no more updates, no more security patches, no more assistance when issues are discovered.when a piece of software reaches end of life, and is still widely used, that software becomes a prime target for bad actors. Is it possible to (set this plugin up to) submit 3 or 5 or n answers all at once? A template modification would suffice for the front-end, but the backend would have to handle the incoming data. Is this supported under the Pro version?
