]]>I’ve successfully imported a few hundred files into CMDownloadManager.
However, those files aren’t found when I use the standard wp search whereas a “manually” added file into cmdm (i.e. not imported) DOES appear in the standard wp search.
Is there something I can do so that [imported cmdm files] are found in the standard wp search?

Hi. Looks great. Couple of presales questions:
1) If a document or PDF is uploaded, does your plugin generate a thumbnail of the first page? If not, is there a way to do it?
2) Can a user submit a link to a file off my site (I’d like to have some free things that are not on my site).
3) Is the plugin easy to skin and modify to look like my site?
4) Can users upload anonomously? That is, not having to have a wordpress account, or other accounts.

Is there a way to import a folder (directory) and all it’s sub folders and all the files and at the same time have the script convert or use the name of the sub folders as categories?
The main thing is that I want to avoid having to create one by one all the categories and sub-cats and sub sub one by one! Possible?

If I upload a file name with Asian character (such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean), it cannot display or download the file name correctly at Internet explorer.
However, it displays correctly at Chrome.
I cannot force my customer to use Chrome because still many people use IE.
Do you have any solution?
In download form, “download info” shows “Author”. “Downloads” and “Updated”.
The date format of “Updated” is not following the basic WordPress setting.
I could not change the date format as I want.
Please help and advise me how and where I can change or correct it.

Then i add a new download for this categorie.
It works, but when I click the download I will be forwarded to a blank page.
If you look right, you can see that the download page is very short, but then disappears and only the blank page is displayed.

When I tried to download a file from the document page, it sends me to ../cmdownload/get/ URL, but then I got the error message said the following:

]]>Locally this plugin is uploading the screenshots and shown up but when I attempted to upload the screenshots it is not shown up after 100% progress. Also says, undefined index of “admin_support” at line no 702 of lib/models/GroupDownloadPage.php with header already sent errors.
This is working in local server, but not working live server. My server and hosting provider is iPage.com and is using cookie Multipurpose theme.

This post is both a problem and solution, but I thought it might help some people.
I was able to upload files effectively, but downloads were a problem.
I checked the browser developer console, and Firefox threw an error when trying to load script https://cdn.jquerytools.org/1.2.7/full/jquery.tools.min.js.
My site is strictly SSL (https), and Firefox would not allow inclusion of a file via http. This is considered a security risk, as it constitutes “mixed content”, as described here. Chrome wouldn’t allow this either. I didn’t test it with IE, but later versions of that probably wouldn’t like it either.
The jquerytools.org site doesn’t support https, so the only solution I could think of was to transfer the script to my own site and access that via the prevailing protocol. Thus, here’s what I did to fix this:
wp-content/plugins/cm-download-manager/lib/controllers/CmdownloadController.php for editing.overrideTemplate($template) function:wp_enqueue_script('jquery-tools', 'https://cdn.jquerytools.org/1.2.7/full/jquery.tools.min.js', array('jquery'));wp_enqueue_script('jquery-tools', '//pnznol.net/js/jquery.tools.min.js', array('jquery'));Note that I omitted the protocol from the url so it would use the currently prevailing protocol. Downloads began to work correctly after this change. Now I just have to remember to change this each time I update the plugin.
Since jquerytools.org doesn’t support https, it would be really great if I could configure CM Download Manager to use a configurable link for jquery.tools.min.js. That would allow the issue to be both well documented and easily solved. Alternatively, the plugin could include jquery.tools.min.js along with the product, and we could avoid the whole issue.

]]>So i have a problem and i noticed other people had it.
The thing is that i always was logged in onto my wordpress admin stuff so i always saw the download button.
But then i logged of and suddenly it said that i had to log in to download the file.
I’m using the free version, and i read on the support forum that it’s simply not possible that there is a download restriction. I tried turning off plugins to see if that has any effect on it, but it didnt.
Do you have any other solutions i can try?
