I created three stand-alone blog posts, each with its own unique footnotes. I was dismayed to find that the footnotes for the latest post had also been applied to the previous articles. This should not happen.
When I disabled the footnotes on the latest article, the footnotes for the second blog post were also applied to the initial post. Likewise When I disabled the footnotes on the second article, the first article showed the correct footnotes. So, they are stored somewhere.
I have had to put the footnotes in each article manually as there was a publication deadline.
How, if at all, can I achieve my desired outcome of having the correct footnotes displayed for each post?

Will my database remain if I uninstall the free version? Please advise, thanks.
]]>Hi,
My Footnotes updated automatically to versin 2.0.3 today (Free version), and after that i cannot see my list of added footnotes in WordPress Admin UI, and the pages where i added footnotes doesnt show the foot notes either.
When I click on the CM Footnotes menu item it seem to be stuck on register, so when I click register now it doesnt seem to stick and when I try to click CM Footnotes to add/removed/edit foot notes it doesnt appear.
Is there somehow i can roll back to some earlier version, since I have added foot notes on quite many pages.

Please switch to the “Server-side” pagination to avoid slowness and problems with the server memory on the Footnote Index Page.
Hi,
Sometimes foot note number links are not incremented accordingly to the parsed text order of appearance: (2) is followed by (3), then (1) and (4).
The user is a little bit lost with this inconsistency.
It looks like the footnote creation date is playing a role in this.
Is there a simple way to fix it with the order of appearance of mapped items as only criteria?
Thanks
]]>Hi, I have been trying to get CM Footnotes to work with content that’s formatted using a page builder: Visual Composer (aka JS Composer, which has now been rebranded as WPBakery page builder).
It won’t display the footnotes at the bottom of the page. When I create a page that does not use the page builder, it shows up correctly as expected.
Does CM FOotnotes depend on the default WP loop? I understand that these page builders may use another way to load posts.

]]>I see all sorts of plug-ins for footnotes, but I need a simple plug-in that allows me (1) to create journal reference type footnotes only once for all posts (unique number), (2) have these viewable in a single place, like you can in a glossary, and (3) use the same reference (footnote) in multiple posts and multiple times in the same post. Everything I see supports footnotes only in a single post. Any suggestions? Thanks.
]]>I watched the demo and was really hoping this plugin would work. I wanted to give it a try. I’m not a fan of typing in the footnote in the text, the way most plugins seem to do it. This was a new install on WordPress 4.5.3. I have never used this plugin before.
When attempting to install and active I received the following error message:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in …/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cm-footnotes/package/cminds-free.php on line 3
I’m not a programmer, but it didn’t look like it was all the important of a line, so I deleted line 3, which read:
namespace com\cminds\package\free\v1_0_7;
When I attempted to activate once again I received the following error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in …/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cm-footnotes/package/cminds-api.php on line 3
Agian, I deleted line 3 from that file, which was the same line:
namespace com\cminds\package\free\v1_0_7;
When I attempted to activate again I received the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare cminds_show_message() (previously declared in …/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cm-footnotes/functions.php:234) in /home1/gbchror1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cm-footnotes/package/cminds-api.php on line 1079
I don’t know if the final error was caused by me or not, but I really hope you all can get this working properly.
Thanks.
