Would be a 5 star.
But since reporting an error for more than a month ago, nothing has happened.
Have to keep previous version to avoid errors.
(Not possible for co-authors to edit posts without error)
Would be sorry to find another plugin, since this seems to be the best.

The latest update with new blocks adds much functionality, but unfortunately the plugin has some bugs and seems to be poorly supported. It’s a volunteer effort mostly, and there doesn’t seem to be an active maintainer. Currently nearly all support questions in the forums are unanswered and lots of issues on GitHub are open as well. I wish there was an active maintainer.
Still I prefer this plugin over the alternatives which are a too bloated. With bug-fixes and active support this would be great.

Plugin also works with Twenty Twenty-Three theme with shortcodes, check “Shortcode breaks HTML” in the Support section.

After removing this plugin all my posts were broken and I had to recover site from a backup.
Also the newly registered taxonomy here is not public, which leads to not being able to view other posts of a particular author.
The plugin needs improvement.

Plug-ins are supposed to plug-in and work. This one requires you to be a web developer to make it work. Even if you’re a bit familiar with adding code to places with good instructions, this just has information for devs on how to install code – there’s no list of instructions to follow.
If this changes because there’s nothing else out there, I’ll come back and revise this review, but I’ve wasted way too long on this now.

This plugin simply does not work anymore. No matter which author is chosen, whether singularity or co-habiting of a post, the admin user is always displayed, and no other author. It’s a shame because this plugin was the best solution for administrating co-authors of posts, if you needed the option.

I rarely ever give 1 star reviews, but developers who take over a plugin – making a breaking change that took a while to resolve – and then refuse to follow standard practice by providing a changelog (despite requests) for future updates, cannot be trusted.
Avoid at all costs.

Hi all, is there a way to echo “coauthors_posts_links” for a particular item (eg post Id of 54)? I looked at template-tags.php and can’t figure out how to essentially call “get_coauthors_posts_links(54)” or some such. Thank you.

The plugin works as described.

The print links function is not printing

THe plugin works perfectly, but I found a conflict with another plugin which uses the same taxonomy name “author”. It would be better to change the taxonomy name with a more specific one or give the possibility to apply a filter to the taxonomy name

This plugin is able to add authors (managers) of a job offer, to get multiple access to the applications of this offer.
very nice.

Where’s the documentation?
]]>Rating: 2 stars
if it works for you out of the box, but editing the output beyond very basic changes seems off the table. the support and documentation is near non existent and what exists i have to find off of search. not recommended really tbh

Works as described, thanks

This plugin doesn’t have any support at all, nobody’s answering our doubts or problems.
So if it works for you, fine, if it doesn’t, you are on your own.

I wanted to create a page that had several coauthors who were each limited to accessing just that one page. Installing “PublishPress Capabilities” plugin achieved limiting the author access to one page, but then installing Co-Authors Plus disables the first plugin and also fails to allow adding a coauthor.

Nice templating as well.

El plugin dejo de funcionar, cuando actualice a versiones 5.2.2, Al intentar cargar nuevos autores invitados, no los carga.
A alguien le paso esto?
Estoy usando el tema Zeen Engine-

Works fine, thank you!

Tested with WP5.2 works fine for me.
I use it for a site where we have multiple user roles and certain user roles (editors) have not the capability to edit others posts. This plugin then is useful to associate multiple authors to pages/posts giving the co-authorship and as such the possibility to edit the page/post.
I haven’t tested the tags but looking at the documentation it makes perfect sense.
I would say this plugin is intended for users with development skills if you want to use the front-end aspects of it (functions/tags).
cheers

Doesn’t work at all!

I wish it would work like advertised. It adds co-authors but messes up the users so that they no longer are WP users. So adding a users makes the owner and co-authers other posts not visible. Too bad there is no support for this plugin since the author seems to be gone. Could have been a very nice plugin. If it worked…

The plugin description and installation instructions make multiple references to a list of template tags required to implement this plugin, but the VIP WP.com blog where the documentation resides is private. I sent a request for access, but nothing. I don’t have time to play patty-cake like this; if the plugin is public, then make the documentation public.
