I’ve been using Code Widget for over a year on https://www.vrvoyaging.com and I love how easy it is to put PHP, HTML, or a shortcode into a page block without fussing with custom widgets. Highly recommended!

I switched from Drupal 7 to WordPress and this is exactly what I needed to spice up the widgets – in Drupal I used something similar for blocks.

There are NO instructions.
There is NO place to create the code…..

You find yourself in situations where you’re not allowed to directly code in the theme file. In my case, the premium theme came with it’s own plugins to create post types, and that made it harder to create mirrors in child themes. In that scenario, having this plugin helped me achieve a great way to directly inject php or any other code for that matter, into the sidebars. That’s amazing.

Works fine!
I’m using a child theme and have installed this plugin to include a file with custom code in the header section of a website. This way I don’t have to include and customize the original header file from parent theme.
<?php get_template_part('my-file-name'); ?>

This plugin works well and makes it very easy to run shortcodes or PHP in my widgets.

This is a nice, lightweight plugin that does exactly what I needed, which was to allow me to use PHP in a text widget – although it does more than that. The stock text/custom html widgets that are bundled with WP have some oddities when trying to use PHP in a widget, and this plugin came to my rescue.
Also, I posted a suggestion for a future update and the developer pushed out an update quickly – support is awesome. ??
