Hi,
How can I generate shortlinks to old posts in bulk? I have thousands of posts, I can’t do it one by one…
Thanks
]]>When I clone an article and then edit it, even if completely changing it (including the slug) prior to publishing, the shortlink it makes after publishing is a duplicate of the original article the post was copied from. There doesn’t seem to be a way to reset it either, so once it’s duplicated, I’m stuck with a link that doesn’t work.
Why is it duplicating the link if the article is pointing to a different url?
Is it possible to include a call to show the page’s / post’s / custom post type’s short URL on the front-end of a page, post, or inside of a theme? I’d like for someone to be able to copy that short URL from the front-end. Thank you!
]]>Well, really, ANY Post at the site, that’s just an example.
The Page Title does not get saved at Bit.ly when the Bit.ly link is made. This is a pretty standard Divi theme installation, running WP 5.9
The shortener is working awesome, though ?? I’m just looking for this wee last thing, thank you very much,
Deb
]]>Hi ????,
Today I updated the WP To Twitter Plugin. Part of the update includes now utilizing the Codehaveli Bitly URL plugin for url shortening. The Codehaveli plugin specifies support for custom URLs.
I am not sure why but the plugin is not sending my site’s custom URL shortener to Twitter. It is only sending the regular basic “bit.ly” url shortener to twitter.
I have searching online and in support forums for what the issue may be. Unfortunately I haven’t found anything yet so I though I would give the forums a try.
If anyone has experience with this issue it would be greatly appreciated if you can share.
Potential issues:
1. Updated WP to Twitter plugin and Codehaveli Bitly URL plugin require something more than new OAuth from Bit.ly (I established a new token and provided Codehavli with access)
It would be best if this plugin could use the WordPress Core shortlinks filter pre_get_shortlink
so that the Bilty link generated would be returned when wp_get_shortlink
calls are made.
When I push Get GGUID afetr inserting token i receive this error message:
“Unable to get Group Guid please check your Access Token”
Can you help me?
Thanks in advantage for all.
]]>Would you please make the shortcut for frontend, I always need to go to the admin dashboard to get the link in case I need it urgently. If you make the shorter link on the frontend then it will be fast for us. Hope you understand.
]]>Hi,
we are using the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin and it uses always the short url of the copied post although its set to not duplicate the fields wbitly_url and bitly_url.
Are we missing a variable?
]]>Get GUID button doesn’t do anything after access code is saved, just re-freshes page with nothing ig Guid field?
