Hey guys,
I’m using the latest Buddypress version in conjunction with WP4.1 and plugin Collabpress but this plugin is conflicting with my theme and other plugins.
This is the error log:
…/ wp-content/plugins/collabpress/includes/cp-core.php on line 59,
line 59:
function cp_wp_dashboard_widget_function() {
cp_recent_activity();}
Someone here who can fix this and make this plugin work with latest Buddypress and WP versions?
ThanX!
]]>Hello,
I’m currently running Collab Press 1.3.1.2 on Word Press 4.1 with the Fundify Theme and User Role Plug In 1.4.5.
I’m experiencing the following issues:
#1) In the user role plug in I am only able to get the plug in to work for all users by selecting all the collab press options (which is to be expected) and allowing users to “manage options” (which allows users admin privileges that I don’t want them to have).
#2) I created a task list under a users profile. The list showed up fine on their dashboard but they received a bunch of emails that said “You have been assigned the task 0” instead of showing the task information they were assigned.
I like this plug in. How can I get it working properly with my current set up.
Thank you for any help that you can provide!
Have a great night!
Christine

Can I influence the behaviour that the HOME-Site (defined in “Settings” – “Reading”) is automatically loading after entering a new task or changing an task? Normally the user expacts to be leaded back to the Collabpress-Project.

I upgraded to buddypress 2.0 and now the add or edit projects options will not work. When adding a project I get a hazy white pop-up box that I cannot do anything with.
Thanks!
]]>hello,
I’m guessing if Collabpress is compatible or not with wordpress 4.0.
I have set a test project on a clean wp 4.0 install, attached some file to it (images, pdf, zip) but I don’t see them anywhere.
on another post I see there’s a sidebar but it was a screenshot from a pre-3.8 wp version.
the files are shown correctly in the media section.
thanks.
]]>Howdy!
How do I do a bulk update of the Due Dates for multiple tasks all at once?
The way I’m using it, I want to be able to punt all of today’s tasks that i didn’t finish, to tomorrow. And sometimes I have multiple tasks and so I want to punt them all at once by doing a multi-select and upating all their due dates at once.
Or what other way to use collabpress so that I can accomplish managing my tasks across multiple days like this?…
]]>Hi!
I’m using collabpress to track my tasks and also to track my notes(comments) related to each task.
Links to collabpress tasks’ comments are showing up in the “Recent Comments” widget in my home page’s sidebar.
my site: wieldlinux.com
Who else has run into this, and what did you do to solve it? I don’t want any trace of collabpress activity to show up on the front end… What can I do?
What I’ve learned so far:
I looked in the database and found out that collabpress uses WordPress’ native comments table to store the collabpress comments. And it gives them a comment_type of “collabpress” and marks their comment_approved flag as 1.
What I’ve tried so far:
1.
I poked around the WordPress Dashboard in the Dashboard > Comments… panel, hoping for an option that would control which comments are shown on the front end (for example a filter by comments based on their comment_type– however I don’t see such functionality in the wordpress core…
2.
I looked in the Dashboard > Collabpress > settings to see if there’s any filter/control there that would somehow make the collabpress tasks’ comments unpublished to the front end but still show in the collabpress back end– but i don’t see such a setting…
3.
Trying to find what other people tried, I googled the term:
wordpress filter comments on comment_type
Which came up with link to this article:
“Filtering by comment_type”
https://wordpress-hackers.1065353.n5.nabble.com/Filtering-by-comment-type-td33174.html
However this article talks about writing a plugin, and I didn’t see a resolution on the thread…
I’m envisioning looking for a long-term or elegant solution, like a checkbox in the software config, or like another plugin that adds functionality, or something similar…
So to recap my questions here,
Who else has run into this, and what did you do to solve it?
I don’t want any trace of collabpress activity to show up in the front end’s recent comments area… What can I do?
Regards,
Morgan
The text area fields (project and task descriptions and posts) need to allow rich text editing. At a minimum it should allow the basic formatting that I am seeing right above the field I am typing in now: bold, italic, link, ol, ul and li.
I am suggesting this because I just tried to post a comment to a task with a website address in it, and there does not appear to be any way to make the address a live link.

So I really want to try this out but I cannot for the life of me find any info on how to use this plugin although lots of people say its the best project management plugin
how do I find out what the short codes are for the front end?
]]>Hello CollabPress
I was wondering there is an user docs?
For example, I’ve seem Task Lists and Tasks yet there doesn’t seem to be any way of creating a relationship between the two.
Another example is the BP Groups taxonomy under the Project CPT. What purpose does that sever?
Basically anything that defines where things are, as well as the roadmap for where you might be headed would be a plus.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I would like to keep each project private. Is there anyway to only display tasks assigned to people on projects? Right now, anyone can see tasks on the calendar. The same goes for comments.
I would appreciate any information. Thank you.
]]>After install it will not let me add project. I get the screen to define title and description but when I the Send button, there is no action.
I’ve tried changing permissions and turning on and off debugging, and other settings plugin, but still not working.
Would I could help please?
Thank you very much in advance.
We have our own social network working with buddypress. A RSS Feed is integrated. Does somebody knows why the linking from new RSS feeds to tasks and projects doesn’t work? It’s just showing an error 404 site.
]]>Hi,
I am looking for a plugin which may support the following framework:
–> There’s one or more to-do-lists with n taks, defined by an administrator.
–> There’s a group of users who should complete the tasks.
–> The tasks are not attributed to the users by the administrator, but users choose by themselves, which task they would like to assume.
–> Once a task is chosen by a user, the task should be “reserved”, and other users should see that a) the taks has already been chosen and b) who has chosen the task.
–> It should be possible to attribute a duration to every task.
–> It should be possible (for the administrator) to download a list (csv- or txt-file) which shows the users, the tasks they’ve completed and the respective time corresponding to the tasks completed.
Could anybody – maybe an experienced user or the plugin author – tell me if these framework could be implemented with the present plugin?
Thank You
Best Regards

]]>Hello,
Collabpress is just what I need, but unfortunately I can not use it!
I have this error:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function cp_recent_activity () in / web / htdocs / intranet.anac-autori.it / home / private / wp-content / plugins / collabpress / includes / cp-core.php on line 59”
What should I do?
Also, what is the shortcode for use in the frontend?
Thank you,

Hi all,
I have set up an project with two users and two activities. One activity for each user.
Both users have Subscriber role and the minimum User Role to change Settings, Edit/Delete data, Enable/View Debug, etc is Administrator.
I am wondering why all users can see and delete all activities and can edit and delete the whole project.
Let me know if this behavior is on my side and I should dig into it until I have found my configuration error or if this behavior is by design and I should accept it.
Thanks a lot
Miguel

I was attempting to use collapress on the frontend by placing the templates in my own html. However it seems that the query string is not passing information to the template. Does anyone have any suggestions. Im not sure what I may be doing wrong. Please take a look at

]]>The Tasks area doesn’t work as supposed to be:
1) All tasks within a project are accessible by all subscriber users, doesn’t matter that user is assigned to that task or not.
2) A subscriber can edit/delete a project. And there is no log for the project deletion.
3) A subscriber can assign his task to some other subscriber within the project.
I think the subscriber should not have such roles.
I am developing a website and finding some difficulties for these. Can you please assist ASAP.
Thanks.
