“Get Recent Comments” p?estal s novou aktualizací WP pracovat, tak jsem musel hledat jiny. Tento je také jednoduchy, intuitivní, ale pro ne-anglické weby je ne?ikovné, ?e do textu pí?e anglické slovo “ON” (opravil jsem – comments-widget-plus/includes/functions.php:71) ve zdroji, ale po aktualizaci zase ur?itě bude anglicky.

Could use an option to limit how many characters should be shown in title. I have a lot of titles that are very long and it just looks weird. So for example if you could shorten “This is a very long title of a post that I made” to “This is a very…”

I was looking for a way to display latest comments on a widget easily and this plugin does exactly that. One suggestion that would increase its usefulness is to make it possible to choose the number of words that will appear for the title, just we choose the characters for the comment excerpt.

There’s no way to pick a specific page or post to pull its comments from and display them on your widget location.

We’ve been looking for hours for a plugin that would allow us to add a widget in our pages that would allow visitors to submit a review and a comment, something we feel would be very popular. All we could find were review plugins that would add a review to pages or posts, similar to core WordPress .
For example, we have an entertainment page that reviews local entertainment with photos and video. We would love to be able to add the ability for people who were there to add a star rating and a comment. Ideally it would simply allow selecting up to a five-star rating, then a comment with an excerpt and “read more” if the comment was more detailed.
Perfection would be allowing other users to rate the comments. The plugin would require registration with a name and email address or login to reduce SPAM, which would drive traffic to a site and grow the user base.
No doubt many site developers would happily pay for a Pro version.

This plugin i s just perfect. I does exactly what it should, everything works just fine, you can easily tune the look and feel via settings or css.
I wish more plugins were like that.

Today I updated plugin and now it is working in a strange way – lines with recent comments in the sidebar moved aside and it looks really bad. I hope that the author will fix it in tne near future. Several years that I have used this plugin, everything was fine. What a pity that this happend after update.

This plugin will enable a custom and advanced comment(s) widget.
Easier to use and customise. We get all the configuration options we could want, and plugin often update.
But widget does not update with last comments.

Just one thing I would like to see changed… I have a plugin that allows [bbcode] type tags in comments. Currently, these tags don’t work in the widget, which is fine, but they still show in plain text! I added strip_shortcodes() manually, but it would be great if this was added in the official version ??
