Hey there,
First of all, great plugin ??
I have made an observation. Whenever I add an image as a featured image (click F) then the image is added directed to my media library. So far so good.
However, the image is complete stripped of all “author” information, meaning that I will be using the image but not referring to the photograph behind the image.
Is that legal?
Sincerely,
Mika
Using plugin version 1.31 on a WordPress Multisites installation. I’m finding that admins and editors have no problem using the plugin, but when a contributor tries to use it they are able to do the search but when they click on the picture size to embed, nothing happens. No error reported, just doesn’t embed.
]]>I went to use this plugin today, but after I entered a search term it froze my browser. I tried It a few time and it did the same thing over and over again.
I turned debugging on and get the following errors:
Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in ../wp-includes/vars.php on line 28
Notice: Undefined index: search-value in ../wp-content/plugins/compfight/compfight-search.php on line 70
I’m not sure if these are causing the issues, but any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
]]>Hi,
First off, great plugin, it works perfectly!
I have a question on the licenses. Can I use the pictures that the plugin finds for my website or are there some creative commons licenses with restrictions?
Thank you in advance!
Tijs
I have a lightbox plugin installed. I would like the image to pop into the lightbox instead of linking to the images original URL. Is that possible?
After playing around in the Compfight settings I was able to remove the URL but not able to get it to activate the lightbox.
I’d like to use this if it’s compatible with 3.6 and I’m a newbie who’s anxious about installing things that don’t work and break things;-) Anyone care to share?
]]>Hi, I’ll use your plugin on my websites https://pluginstalk.com and https://whtifeel.com .
But before using I just want to know that, is there some settings or any trick by which the plugin should show only horizontal, means landscape image.
Every image searched by the plugin is the kind of square boxed size.
I need specifically landscape images.
I can modify the code if you have a code level solution.
Please tell me, I’m in need of this feature in your plugin.
re wp plugin… got all excited, installed it. Activated it. WP 3.5.1. turned off ALL other plugins. Tried with multiple themes. Tried un/re-installling it. Tried multiple settings. Every time it allows me to search, and finds zero results when searching for things like “dog”, “man”, etc.
Would LOVE some help. Tons of time spent… lots of frustration and no joy at all :o/
Hi,
When I click the camera icon on the add new post page I get the pop-up however it just goes to my blog’s error 404 page..
Help please!

]]>Hi there
I am getting the following error when I press on the little compfight button in the editor of WordPress.
“You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/plugins/compfight/compfight-search.php”
This is the first time I have tried to use it, so I can’t give any clues as to what is causing it sorry.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Brett
I can’t seem to figure out how to set the image inserted using the Compfight plugin as the post’s featured image – the functionality is said to have been added; what am I doing wrong? Thank you!
]]>As others have pointed out, I can search for photos but cannot add them to a post. Clicking on a photo’s link does nothing. I’m running WP 3.3.2 and have the latest Compfight version installed.
]]>My programmer saw the same issue on his computer (which is now the 3rd computer we’ve confirmed the issue from). He said its a jquery error. See here: https://screencast.com/t/1mF8JuqNiX
]]>This may sound like a stupid question, but how do you access the interface to select an image after you download and install the plugin? I checked the add new image function and didn’t see anything. There are no instructions on the plugin page or in the screenshots provided.
Thanks.
]]>Received the following right after installing the plug in and navigating to a new page:
Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required ‘/data/26/1/126/110/1941762/user/2118296/cgi-bin/.php/sessions/sess_a71f15684645b8a40998010ac3582b9e’ (include_path=’.:/usr/services/vux/lib/php’) in Unknown on line 0
I’m assuming it’s the same fix as 89, deleting through FTP. The blog is down too, as well as the entire WP admin.
Site is:

Please advise!
Thanks

If you change line 91 from:
if ($screen->base == 'post'
to:
if ($screen->base == 'post' || $screen->base == 'page'
… I can use this awesome plugin on pages too!
I am using theme 2011. I activated the plug-in and I had the same issue as above. I have the most current update of wordpress installed.
I also have Lightbox, NexGen and Zemanta activated.
I get these error messages:
Warning: Unknown: open(/var/chroot/home/content/56/2056956/tmp/sess_cas2002v4fbsc8hpsnqd9f3n86, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct () in Unknown on line 0
Please help, I love the idea of your plug-in and would love to be able to use it appropriately!
]]>I click the compfight icon and enter a search term. It returns a list of photos in a single column, but when I click on (s) or (m) or (l), nothing happens.
I’ll try updating to 3.3.1 and see if that fixes it.
]]>This would be perfect if the attribution came in with the image as a caption, and not as a separate line of text. This way, the image and attribution would stay together no matter where it was placed on the page, and the alignment would work much better.
Thanks!
