if v1.31 is already installed in WP, it can’t automatically tell that a newer version is available, like v1.5.
v1.31 may be broken. User needs to deactivate, delete old version and add newest version themselves.

This plugin is fantastic for locating pertinent images, but its not configurable enough to meet my needs. I tried it out and had to uninstall it.
I attempted to customize the way that credits display, to put them in a caption, and the plugin essentially ignored all my modifications and went with the default. I wanted to use captions to credit image owners, and didn’t want the other contributors to my site to have to mess with code.
The image retrieval functionality is stellar, but the insertion into a WordPress post is tacky.

Compfight is the easy way to post Flickr images to your blog with attribution.
My only problem is that the plugin slows down your blog plus the hosted images on Flickr take longer to load. You can find images on the Compfight website and it just takes an extra 30 seconds.
If you are building hundreds of image pages and do not create much content, then this plugin is a HUGE time saver.
Great for:
– photo blogs
– image based blogs
– building resource posts
Not so great for:
– content blogs
You save a ton of time though and can easily search, post and publish images without hosting them!

Why isn’t this built into WordPress from the start? This saves so much time, I dont have to look for images, make sure the licensing is correct or potentially pay for them, etc. What a mess and hassle that all is!
With this plugin, I just click the camera icon when I’m writing a post, I search for whatever kind of image I’m needing, click the size, voila! INSERTED with proper credits! This is a GEM. Major props to the developers of this plugin, you guys rock!

Works great and is a huge timesaver. Especially when mocking stuff up for clients!
