Hi, is it possible to have display control based on the specific post and not just on the pages or categories?
Hi Jason!
Excellent plugin. It was the last reason I was using Jetpack : )
I’m trying to show or hide a widget in the single posts as I was able to do in Jetpack.
Also I would love to show/hide a widgets in the Category archives only. If I check “Categories > Enable post Logic and Show on” a specific category, this widget will appear in the posts of that category… Which is correct. But in Jetpack I was able to limit that to the category archives only.
Thanks for helping!
I’m trying to use the Hide on Posts Page (when using a static front page) option to hide some widgets for posts, but it just won’t work. All the other checkboxes function as expected. This is nothing new, same thing always happened regardless of plugin version, WP version, installed plugins etc. I have a static front page and a separate blog page.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.
Hi, hope you are doing great ??
Thank you for a great, useful plugin.
I have set it up to only show up on the Shop page.
But, the widget shows up on the Blog archive and Product single.
I am trying to show a widget based on a product category or tag. I downloaded your plugin and did the steps but it is not showing me the categories to the products…only the category “uncategorized”. What am I doing wrong?’
Any help is greatly appreciated.
WordPress 5.8 overhauls the Widgets interface, and Widgets will then become Blocks. Like many other popular plugins that interact with widgets, there are no plans to rewrite Conditional Widgets to function under this new system.
For those who choose to use Classic Widgets (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-widgets/), which I expect is many of you, Conditional Widgets will continue to be supported/maintained for the foreseeable future.
If you are a developer and would like to make Conditional Widgets function under the new system, feel free to get in touch.
In sidebar showing all templates of same brand, however, I want based on country
in blog page, I filtered the post based on location, so in post page, I want only to link the sidebar with the post content at same brand & country
conditional widget installed and configured, however, still not showing as expected
If the article is attached to several categories, then the plugin does not work.
For example, an article is attached to the ‘Reviews’ + ‘Tips’ headings.
Selected in the widget – show ONLY in the ‘Tips’ heading.
But it is still shown both there and there when viewing this article.
It is necessary that he does not take into account all the headings where the article is attached, but only the main one.
It would be more logical, it seems to me.
Well, or there must be some other way to show the widget in a specific category (by url, for example), and not everywhere where the article is attached.`
Hi after a long search I found this grem, I just need it to show a specific sidebar based on the Woocoomecre category page,, please add the ability to select the product categories. I’m sure allot of people will benefit form this as well.
Hi,
I intend to use this plugin to show/hide widgets on basis of certain pages.
However, I am missing an option to show/hide widgets for pages with password-protection, i.e. hiding a widget as long as the user has not entered the correct password for viewing the page.
Do you plan to implement any such feature in a future version of your wonderful plugin?
Cheers, Christoph
Hi,
I fully localized this awesome plugin to zh_TW, and I found two places with missing text-domain.
This issue caused localized UI can’t display correct terms (tested).
form.php, line 127, code should be the following:
<h6 class=”conditional-widget-header conditional-widget-sub-heading”><?php _e( ‘Pages’, ‘conditional-widgets’ ); ?>

form.php, line 135, code should be the following:
. sprintf( _x( ‘Enable %s Logic’, ‘(Custom) Post Type will fill the placeholder’, ‘conditional-widgets’ ), __( ‘Page’, ‘conditional-widgets’ ) )
Hope to see the correction soon.
Regards,
Alex Lion
Hi! I’ve installed and set up your plugin for display different sidebar for each category in my blog. Everything was fine, but when I installed WPML and I’ve noticed that the plugin doesn’t show the widgets in the second language or adds an other unexpected and not requested widget of recent news. How can I fix this problem?
I can not upload any screenshot, but if you allowed me to forward them I can show you easily the bug I need to report. We need to know if this is a problem that you will be fixing soon otherwise we have to find another way to do what we need.
thank you
I’ve been using this on a couple sites for years, and it is much appreciated, including that I gave it five stars years ago…
But I am nervous that it has not been updated now for a good year…
Is there any chance you might audit the plugin and bring it up to date here in the repository…?
Kind regards,
John
I would like to install and network activate the plugin for a WP MultiSite.
Has it been tested on WP MultiSite mode?

Seems like this isn’t part of the plugin (which is a little surprising considering how useful and relatively easy to implement).
Any chance on getting THAT (and a version bump for the “readme” file) sometime soon?
Is there a way to hide/show pages that are “linked” to a category? I use a plugin (Map Categories to Pages) so that I can select one or more categories for pages.
The logic behind “Conditional Widgets” seems to adress categories only for posts. I wonder if this could be enhanced.
Cheers, Frank
I would just like to know if the plugin has an estimated date of release for the compatibility to WordPress version 5.1.1?
Thanks!
Hi,
I would like to show the sidebar widgets based on the selected taxonomy. How can I make the plugin to use taxonomies for conditional logic?
BR,

Is it possible to hide a widget in Woocommerce products?
Thanks
Hello and thanks for this great plugin,
can any user or you as the programmer confirm
the compatibility with WP 5.0.2 or have
a code-workaround .. if not?
With best regards,
sakag
Hello,
This works fine for Posts but doesn’t show widgets on Pages even though I checked “Enable Pages Logic and [Show] on selected Pages:” in the control area.
I use the theme from Genesis Framework (Theme name: News Pro) and WordPress version 5.0.2.
Please help.
Many thanks,
It was, by far, one of the best plugins for the job.
Unfortunately looks like it’s abandoned and stopped to work on most websites we have integrated it.
Switching to different plugin ??
RIP Conditional Widgets
I have a custom widget. This plugin will work with the custom widget, but after I set it up the first time, I can no longer toggle the Conditional Widget settings view on and off. I have to use the inspect tool to remove the “display: none” from the conditional widget form.
This only happens on my custom widget. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?
This is very similar to my last post:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-settings-hidden-in-wp-4-9-4/
After the 4.9.4 update, the plugin still works, but the setting form does not display when clicking the down arrow button. I can show the settings form using the browser Inspect tool, but it would be more convenient if this were fixed. Thank you for such a great plugin.
Most of the time this plugin works, but in some cases it doesn’t. For example, when I set it to only show the widget for the Shop page, it also shows in on individual blog posts.
I’m about to remove this plugin and try similar ones, so the content of the URL I provided won’t be relevant anymore.
The plugin isn’t tested against the latest WP version. Will it work and do you intend to continue it’s development?
Thank you……………….. liz
this is very useful plugin and also has simple and beautiful form, but it does not show Custom Post Types categories in category list, i am using Job Manager Plugin But can not use Conditional Widgets for Job Manager categories.
i think there is no need to add new section to your plugin form, you can just show list of Custom Post Types categories inside your available categories list box.
thanks.
Hi
I’ve created Widget Custom Menu and selected:
Enable Page Logic and “Show” on selected Pages
I’ve checked only one page and it is showing on that specific page.
But it is also showing on Product pages.
Products are not on the list.
I want to show a (menu) widget on certain pages only, but no matter what I set for page logic, it always appears, even if I set “hide” on “ALL pages”. If I try the same similar with categories, the widget is hidden or shown depending on settings. What is going wrong here?
Hi,
currently the plugin support the condition for either the desktop or the mobile.
I would like to recommend a third option for the tablets.
I have some widget that I would like only to tablets (since the content of which is not responsive as the rest of the site and the desktop variant is too big and the mobile variant is too small).
Thanks in advance.
