Wordpress editor freezes after I activate plugin and create sign up form. I un-installed plugin and re-installed – same problem ??

Does not properly sync EventSpot event times and cannot assign individual privileges to specific users. Needs an update to properly work with Constant Contact APIs and newest versions of WordPress.

I’ve tried this plugin multiple times. Since there is not spam filter, it results in a constant stream of bogus emails cluttering up my Constant Contact account.

I struggled to find a Constant Contact plugin that also did sign-up forms for events. This does and it works great. Thank you!!

This plugin works and is easy to add a form and update your contact lists… However the styling of the forms have a lot to be desired. It states there are tons of design options (there aren’t) but how do I alter the way the form fields display? Unless I’m missing something!

Plugin was working fine until a barrage of spam emails.

Does not allow radio buttons, check boxes, or drop-down selections. What a disappointment.

Doesnt work. No support. Instructions incomplete. Should be removed by wordpress.

I hardly ever rate plugins, but I felt I needed to offset the bad ratings with a good rating here. There are a lot of people stating that the plugin did not work for them. However, they have made excellent progress. The plugin works better than any other Constant Contact I’ve tried (I’ve tried about 10 of the most popular ones). I have found only one minor issue with it where the preview block is visible above the signup form edit page (easy fix for the developer). However, I could get around that. I love this plugin because it doesn’t require you to sign up for a third party account, you can add additional fields, use any signup list, and customize the redirect URL. There has obviously been a lot of work done to this plugin and I would encourage everyone to give it a good try and not pass it over because of the issues people had with it previously.

It really works with wp 4.5.2 and php >= 5.3 (I have 5.6)
Thank you guys for this awesome plugin!

Integration with Constant Contact was easy. The plugin’s forms integrate reliably with all of your account’s mailing lists (so far, no problems here). The form designer is pretty weak. Input fields are widget sized and you’ll need to write custom CSS to get the forms to look acceptable on anything other than a sidebar. There are options for several Custom Fields in the form designer, but no way to map them to fields in your Constant Contact mailing list. The plugin has fields for home phone and work phone which sync nicely to CC, but there is no field for mobile phones (other than a custom field, which can not be mapped). If you absolutely need to add Constant Contact form integration to your site and you aren’t picky about how it looks and don’t have really demanding needs, this plugin will do. If you need any kind of real-world usability, though, you’ll probably have to drop some cash on another premium plugin.

If we needed to collect a minimal amount of data, this would work. But, such things as country, state/province, etc. choices from a drop-down list are not available for forms. In short, we cannot duplicate the signup form we already have at Constant Contact. This type of data needs to be “sanitized” this way in order to be useful. Going back to having visitors sign up off-site directly at Constant Contact. Uninstalled.

I just tried to add this plugin to my WordPress site and it couldn’t even get past the API allow access page!
I called tech support and they told me that this was not even their plug in, that they do not support it, that they know NOTHING ABOUT IT!
Looking at this and other plug ins for Constant Contact I can only conclude that they DO NOT SUPPORT WORDPRESS.
If you are one of the 20 million users of WordPress you will need to migrate to another email marketing tool because this service does not support your website. They admitted it to me over the phone a moment age, they are not willing to support, nor understand the programming needed to support a WordPress install.
This is not just a FAILURE of the programming, it is a FAILURE of the company. Not only is this plug in not useable, the entire company is not useable. Time to drop them like a hot rock and go with another company. I have had success with MailChimp in the past, looks like I will be working with them from here on out, at least they care enough to write the software properly.

Checked the support and some of the issues are available more than a month. No response from author.

I’m a user not a developer and its been awhile since I did any comparison shopping but it’s worked for me for a few years now without problem.

Installed and experienced immediate error. Extensive searching produced a support request here from 8 months ago the issue, which has still not be responded to, or addressed, so I don’t hold much hope that my request from 3 days ago will be responded to.
Move along folks. Nothing here to see.

Fresh WP install, no other plugins installed, cannot edit page/post content or access any of the editor controls as soon as it’s activated.

No valid header :/

never saw a working version of this plugin. tried to install it a few months back, got invalid headers.
tried to give it another shot, and it takes over the wordpress admin – unable to add media, or switch to visual or text mode – basically renders the backend unusable.
kind of a shame that constant contact would put their name on this as an “official” plugin. looks like it needs to be started over on a clean slate. why the hell are there so many files in this plugin?
unfortunately, i wanted to use this – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/gravity-forms-constant-contact/ but its developed by the same guy…not even gonna waste my time.

Awesoem to use the constant contact signup. need to update some points but everything is good.

Okay, so the problem did not lie with the plug-in as it was purely user error; of course not from me! ??
[Someone put text on the bottom part on the designer page when only URLs go there.]
Plug-in works as intended.
Previous review:
After the form submission, a 404 error occurs – leaving the user at an error page after putting information in. ??
Version 3.1.7 of the plug-in did not cause this.
Hopefully a solution comes soon.

This breaks any kind of visual editing with WordPress. For example, if you try to insert a link, no popup box comes up to actually insert the link.
It’s disappointing that this is considered an “official” plugin when it doesn’t even work.

Breaks Visual Composer
]]>Rating: 1 star
Same as what elmundomagico reported. Broke the WP visual editors “insert link” functionality for my client. Removing from our site and looking for a suitable replacement.
]]>Rating: 1 star
It prevented the link button from working – actually, from appearing – whilst editing in visual mode, paralyzing my work. Had to involve three designers to get the issue sorted and deactivate all plugins on the website to see which one was causing issues. It was this plugin.

Please remove your .gitmodules, .git and .gitignore files. Having these files accompany your plugin makes it near impossible for those with their sites under version control. Learn to code.

No valid header for the plugin! Plugin stop working and removed all setting!!!

Needed to log in and run some updates. Got all updated and current, then thought “Haven’t updated my password in awhile, think I’ll go do that”.
Edit My Profile > put new password in the two fields, scroll down aways….
Right where the Update Profile button should be, in it’s place is a couple blocks of PHP unhappiness:
“Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /path/to/domain.com/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 376”
and
“Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /path/to/domain.com/domain.com/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 379”.
Disabling all plugins and activating the default theme fixed it. Activating this plugin then brought it back.
