Is there anyway of turning off (or altering) the data validation on the Subject field on the free version? Many of my customers need to enter the value of “f300” in this field and this is causing the Submission to fail with a “Please match the format requested” message.
This used to work fine, so I assumed something got changed on the last update.
]]>The plugin had been working fine until I updated it 2 days ago.
Now in the site health log I am seeing the following message:
Date: [16-Sep-2023 04:00:00 UTC]
Type: PHP Warning
Message: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent
In: /home/mrreeves/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-plugin/contact_form.php on line 91
I have disabled all the plugins and added them back one at a time. The issue appears to be with the – Hide Admin Bar Based on User Roles – plugin. Showing users the admin bar is not an option.
Is there a way around this or can it be addressed in the next update?
I’d like to go back to the previous version but I didn’t see it in the repository.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

]]>Hello,
I use this contact form plugin as it is one of the only that I have found that works fine in a website that uses an ajax theme.
I am trying to use nginx caching, but it is not working due to a cookie set by your plugin:

Could you tell me how I can remove this please?
Thank you.

For right now I have the attachment block disabled, but hoping there is a fix. Would be nice if my visitors could send content including pics and text articles. Like I said, it has worked in the past. Margins, layout, headings, have not been changed on my site for at least 3 years.

For some reason, I also can’t submit the form without uploading an attachment (I thought that should be optional?). But that will be an issue to solve after I figure out this button placement.
Does anyone have any solutions for the button?

]]>Hi
I have been using your plugin on my 2 sites and I’m generally satisfied with it, but when I wanted to use it on a third site, I tried to test it again by sending several emails, in all cases selecting receiving a copy. I first tried using a Yahoo sender email. The email & copy did not arrive. I tried again using Gmail, both arrived instantly. Then I tried an aol.com mail: nothing. I tested again using my other my site’s based email & Gmail. Both arrived, but 2, 3 more Yahoo mail account addresses and 2, 3 hours later, none has arrived, not even in junk folders.
So my question is, why are the Yahoo/AOL account emails not being sent and what can be done to solve this & other unknown accounts some guests may use?
In the contact form settings, I use “Use this email address” option. I think this was suggested a while back by your support, after I discovered some emails were not being sent or something like that.
I also use BWS captcha, though I noted this does not always load on both sites & often requires re-loading this or the login/registration page before it appears. Or … it loads after you try to submit a form, only to be surprised by an error message, saying the reCaptcha value is false, although there was no captcha loaded before.
The 2 issues may be unrelated, but it’s also a problem, for which a solution would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Here’s the relevant code from contact_form.php:
if ( ! function_exists( ‘cntctfrm_admin_menu’ ) ) {
function cntctfrm_admin_menu() {
bws_general_menu();
$cntctfrm_settings = add_submenu_page( ‘bws_panel’, __( ‘Contact Form Settings’, ‘contact-form-plugin’ ), __( ‘Contact Form’, ‘contact-form-plugin’ ), ‘manage_options’, ‘contact_form.php’, ‘cntc$
add_action( ‘load-‘ . $cntctfrm_settings, ‘cntctfrm_add_tabs’ );
}
}
It’s calling the bws_general_menu() function, but that function hasn’t been loaded.
For now, I’ve resolved the issue by copying the bws_general_menu() function from bws_menu/deprecated.php to contact_form.php, but that’ll of course be erased with the next plugin update.
Thanks for your help.

]]>how to fix?
]]>Hi Guys,
You might already know this, but after I updated to the latest version of WordPress (4.7) my back-end slowed down to a snail’s pace. I started deactivating plugins to identify the problem and found that it was your contact form causing the issue.
I had to delete it in order to fix the issue.
You might want to look into what code in your plugin might be conflicting with WordPress 4.7
Kind Regards.

]]>Hi
I accidentally discovered that the contact form was not working, unfortunately I dont know for how long (after some update?).
A while back, I had the same issue & contacted support and the issue was resolved. At that time, I reversed the settings for the target email being used to “The user’s email address:” Only the email copy was being sent to spam, but not to target address.
Today after reversing settings to “Use this email address:”, which did not work b4 I last contacted support ,.. the email arrived at correct target mail (not spam) like expected.
In the process of dealing with this. I noted this warning:
Deprecated shortcode [contact_form] from the Contact Form by BestWebSoft plugin is used on your site. Please replace it with [bestwebsoft_contact_form]. If you close this message it’ll appear again after deprecated shortcode reuse.
I have replaced the deprecated code [contact_form]
with [bestwebsoft_contact_form]
but still have the warning, in spite of copy & paste!
What could be up?
