Hi. The pagination in this plugin doesn’t work.
I have 14 posts but when I chose to show only half on page one, I expect page two to show me the rest.. But it just shows the first page again.

A recent pentest of a site which uses the Content Views has raised the issue that it uses an old version of Bootstrap (3.4.1) – in public/assets/js/cv.js – which has multiple security issues associated with it (see https://security.snyk.io/package/npm/bootstrap).
Is there a way of either hiding this file from the public site (if it’s only used on the admin site) or look into planning to update your use of bootstrap to a newer version?

On the front page, I used the Grid Post block and enabled the Social Share function. I can see the social media icons on the frontend. However, if I click on one specific post, an enter that full text post, I cannot find the social media icons for sharing anymore.
How can we enable the social media sharing function on the full text post?

]]>The above link is one of several pages where I’m using a Content Views Grid. It looks OK… but when I make an edit to one of the posts, it takes 30 minutes or more for the updated post to show up on the front end.
Steps I’ve taken to troubleshoot: using different browsers/devices to preview pages, and cleared browser caches, blocked a caching plugin from caching the posts or pages that are using Content Views Grid.
I’m going talk with the hosting company… but is there some setting within Content Views plugin that would slow front end updates?
I’m using the free version. When you go to the site, the first “announcement” on top, see the image is spilling over the content frame.
I use a proper size image for the post, but that image doesn’t show in the excerpt. So I have to include a featured image, but I had to resize that image to try and not spill over the frame too much. Not optimal.
Is there a different way to force the frame to adjust to the featured image size?

]]>Hi, I love the concept of being to present posts from a certain category in a grid format on the homepage. However I’m trying to force an ordering for these posts using a plugin called “Post Types Order” but that order is not reflected in the Content View.

]]>Hi, We are trying to get your timeline view working on posts – it’s great, but we have a couple of display issues:
a) We have colored the background of the cards. But the arrows (pointing to the vertical timeline) do not show well (they are by default white with gray borders). The timeline itself is also only grey. Are these controlable with custom css?
b) The card incudes meta data – it shows OK on preview, But on live view its lines are double spaced. And changing the Style Setting>>meta>> line-height setting does not seem to solve it.

]]>In Display Settings you have a “Open Item in” option. which includes New Window, and Light Box.
Light Box has a Content Selector, but New Window does not.
May I suggest an enhancement. (… if it is already in PRO, please let me know :).
Issue:
The general issue I seek to improve is that the grid shows some details, but obviously not all. And thus the visitor often clicks on an item to see its ‘details’ (i.e. to gather more info about it) then returns to the original page to look at another item. Often back & forth many times
But when the ‘details’ page is displayed, there is often not a ‘back’ button.
The use of New Window and LightBox overcome the above issue – since it is obvious/intuitive how to return.
But, it’s a smaller window … and the first elements that are displayed are the Header (i.e. taking up too much of the available space :!). The visitor therefore has to scoll down to see the info.
Your Content Selector is useful, but (as your guidance note makes clear) the css etc. may not be available.
My suggestion is that you provide a 2nd/alternative purpose for the Content selector – i.e. as an Anchor link. and appended to the href:
Thus the new page/lightbox would open at the appropriate div e.g. #content. (with all the css would be available).

We want to produce a grid of Events – from ‘today’s’date – for the next 2 weeks.
1st Question:
We have got it basically working (on a staging site with test data) but we have not understood how to use your literals in the Value to Compare field.
Our setup is:
Custom Key Field: event_start_date
Value Type: Date
Operator…: Less or =
Value to Compare: should this be “today + 14” ?
AND
Custom Key Field: event_end_date
Value Type: Date
Operator…: Greater or =
Value to Compare: should this be “today” ?
2nd Question:
Both dates are displayed (overlaid on the image). But events start & end on same date. Can you assist with:
a) removing the 2nd date – if they are the same.
b) and adding text e.g. ” to ” between the date is they are different.
3rd Question:
In your text:
“You can use any English textual datetime (tomorrow, next Monday, next week, next month, next year, +3 days, +1 week,?and so on) in the “Value To Compare” field.”
The “and so on” link give an error 404.
4th Question:
We like your ‘Open item in – Light box of Post Content” option.
but the black overlaided background does not suit our color scheme. Can it be changed to e.g. grey/transparent with e.g. custom css?
5th Question:
We are using Display Settings: Thumbnail – 300x 300 – “Show all images in the same size”
However, when the page is opened (or refreshed) initially the thumbnails display with their individual aspect ratios … then after a moment [too long] they refresh to all the same size. This delay does not happen with other similar views – it seems just on this Filtered & Sorted by Date view. Is this as expected?
I have Content Views Pro installed, although it’s a little older and I’m beyond the support window. A few WP updates ago, I got a message in my dashboard that Content Views Pro requires an update of Content Views (free), and went to update that. It produced this error: “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
All of my other plugins update fine. As far as I can tell, there’s actually nothing wrong with the site overall. But the Content Views entry in the plugins list on the dashboard now perpetually displays this error message instead of all the normal stuff (i.e. “update,” “deactivate,” etc. don’t display), and if I try to click on the link in the notice that the thing needs updating, that should go to the plugin’s listing (like where you would install it if you don’t have it), I get a screen with that same message instead of the plugin page.
I’ve noticed a strange issue where the content of my WordPress posts keeps disappearing after I publish them. I’m using the latest version of WordPress and several plugins related to content editing. I’ve checked the revisions, but there’s no trace of the missing content. Can you help me figure out why this is happening and how to fix it?

I may getting notice of the aria labels not showing in content views Read more section. I don’t see where to add or make sure a setting has been done correctly. Only i using in one site
I have a old view with 6 columns. Now, I modified it, and when logged to modify looks fine,… but for external users,… or when not logged,. all posts appears in only one column. This happens for few views. You can see example in the image attached below. Any idea?
After selection and narrowing, the Content View simply disappears. There is no such phenomenon in the Chrome browser. In Firefox and Opera, however, yes. What could be the reason?

The content view is not displayed properly. I tried using two short codes and Php codes, but they do not display properly. If you enter 8 Post IDs in Filter Settings > Common > include Only and set Items per row “4”, Grid, and Grid2 in Display Setting, it will look normal in Preview. However, when applied to posts and pages, they are displayed vertically. This means that one row is displayed for each of the eight rows.
Can you tell me what the problem is?
