I’ve had to disable this plugin as the following error is suddenly showing at the bottom of all the pages
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘text_string’ in /homepages/37/d440688816/htdocs/app449864873/wp-content/plugins/cookiecert-eu-cookie-directive/cc_widget.php on line 63
Googling shows that it’s a happened on other sites but I can’t work out why.

]]>Hi,
Could the maintainer set id="eu_cookie_notify"
on the element that holds the message, so browser plug-ins could discreetly inform the user about cookies by displaying small icon instead?
Best Regards,
Pawe?

]]>Hi,
I’ve just added the plugin to my site, and am pleased to say it’s all working a treat.
It looks to me like the cookie that is set to record acceptance only lasts 30 days, which presumably means that regular visitors will have to acknowledge cookies every 30 days?
Obviously I can change this to any value I like, but I wonder if it would be worth making it a configurable option for less techie site owners?
Thanks for saving me the effort of doing this myself…

The find our more info website doesn’t seem to be working as it doesn’t update the sites to tell people if a site has cookies on it or not.

]]>My site was working fine after upgrading to 3.3.2 then I noticed that there was also an update to this plugin flagged.
I installed it and now all I get is an empty browser with one single statement:
Fatal error: Class ‘CookieConsentWidget’ not found in {my domain urk}/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 324
I cannot even log in to my site wp admin account – Well and truly screwed!!
I am tempted to log in to my hosting ftp panel and delete the entire cookiecert-eu-cookie-directive directory but am unsure if this will mess up widgets.php in the /wp-includes even more?
HELP!
