I thought I finally found the perfect image share plugin but unfortunately after getting it going it wouldnt show up on the featured image of any posts.

Developer created fancy plugin. well… fantastic. I use just a regular theme – deyd. Articles, not even gallery. And surprisingly some of the images are showing sharing buttons, and some of them are not. No reason, no logic. I contacted a developer, for a week I didn’t receive any answer. well… buggy plugin I left to developer. I don’t want to wait for a month and watch my web-site with buggy not working plugins. I downloaded WWM Social Share On Image Hover. Works like magic… done perfect, icons discrete. wonderful. I love working plugins. I had a little problem with installing facebook app for facebook share, developer got back to me right away, and didn’t mind the weekend.

I was initially overwhelmed by this plugin as many comparable plugins are full of bugs, but looks like this one is too.
The plugin works fine for most of my photos, but it completely and utterly ruins my WP galleries (running default WP theme). The gallery images disappear once this plugin is activated.
Created a support request over a month ago, but author seems to have abondoned the plugin.

I think one more option would promote functionality on mobile devices. There is no hover state on mobile so it would be profitable to see the buttons directly on each image. Would it be possible to add this kind of behavior for mobile only?
