Hello, I am a user of your excellent Cool Video Gallery plugin. I see that the plugin is closed since June 29th. A disaster for me;). 2 questions: Is it still possible to upload new videos? (For me it’s impossible). Is there another plugin as powerful as Cool Video Gallery? Thank you for your help.
]]>I’m using wordpress 4.9.6. I can create galleries and upload videos, but when I want to add videos to a gallery, no galleries show up in the gallery drop down menus. If i try to add a gallery with the same name, it can not be created because, i get the message that it already exists. The uploaded videos show up in the drop down menu for videos. Any help with this? i’m guessing it’s a mysql permissions problem, but I don’t honestly know.
So i followed the next logical step and logged into mysql.
use database wordpress;
show tables;

I am converting WordPress 3.5.1 to 4.8.1.
In the process I have installed the newest Cool Video Gallery, which requires a key from JW Player.
I see no way to continue as we have before, being able to show videos, for free, using Cool Video and JW Player.
In the past, all I had to do in a page is insert the code:
[cvg-video videoId=’4′ width=’400′ height=’400′ mode=’playlist’ /]
and the video plays.
Now, with the same code, I get the error message:
Error setting up player: Invalid license key
So, I created a JW Player account, and activated it.
Logging in, I see no way to get a license without paying money.
Am I missing something?

However I have 2 issues
1- Videos are not showing thumbnails. I have ffmpeg installed on my server however I have also installed it here at the path you show in the UI

Still I cannot get thumbnails to work?
2- The gallery is only displaying 5 videos-but I need more. i see no setting in the UI that allows to set the number of videos displayed
However I see you can use “limit” in the shortcode to set this. I am new to WP and do not fully understand how to write the short code- can you show me an example of short code for limit=25?

Seems like the plugin needs to be updated as the JW API player process doesn’t match the methods they use.

Go back to Video Player Setting and copy API Key in the box tagged JWPlayer License Key and save.
I believed that these are the steps for getting the player working but I can’t, I got the next message: Error setting up player: Invalid license key

]]>Everything is configured and embedded videos work. When I try a popup the video popup starts and quickly closes and youtube opens and plays the video.
This also occurs when I use a showcase or slideshow. I would appreciate any help resolving this.

]]>I have problems playing mov files: in Chrome (Version 52) the videos play, but only with sound, the video screen is black.
In Firefox (version 47) or Edge (version 25.10586.0.0) I get the error “Error loading media: File could not be played”.
MP4 videos are playing without problems.
Is there anything I can do apart from getting rid of my mov files?

As of CVG 2.3 my WP Medialibrary does not display the pics any more
Deactivating CVG plugin solves the problem.
Also my WordPress NextGen GalleryView plugin is not displaying the filmstrip any more until i deactivate CVG.
And i had to instal JWPlayer 7.5.2 with a license key to be able to play my video’s.
Looks like i need another video plugin ??

]]>Hi, everything was working fine on my site, and with CVG gallery. I just noticed the videos weren’t showing on the page, and message appears: [No videos found]. When I check for the gallery, there are 0 galleries. This was all there? What could have caused the gallery to just disappears? It seems all the media is still in the media library. These were self-hosted mp4 files arranged using this statement :

I don’t think the shortcode is wrong, but the gallery is simply not there anymore. Could this be due to some auto-update that occurred? If so, how can/should I recover or revert?

An earlier version of this plugin had a player where I could list a number of videos on the side of the player. It would allow you to click on that list and play a particular video. The current player plays them one after another with no option to select a video. What happened to that original player? Am I missing something?

It always worked in my WP website, placed in CVG Showcase widget, where I had only one small .flv video. But it was until I updated the CVG plugin to latest version a few days ago, then it stop working and the error message is: “No video found”.

thanks for making this plugin
however there is two important problem with it when it posts a new video
1.Thumbnails
it dose not make any Thumbnail for video posts so for example in recent post sliders you see no picture as Thumbnails for video posts
2.category(maybe its more important)
when your plugin publish a video post it dose not consider any category for it although its expected to set VIDEO for example as mother category and GALLERY NAME as child category

]]>After updating to 2.3, my playlists won’t show. The video player is on the page with the last video in the playlist, and it will play, but the playlist is gone. The playlist consists of self hosted videos residing on my server. The player and gallery is inserted on the page with shortcode.
