Hi there!

We used to be able to add students to the course by going to end of the students list, type in the users name, select their name when it comes up, and then click ‘Add User’.

Unfortunately the box where we were able to type in their name has now changed to a drop dow box, and nothing drop downs and we’re unable to enter names. So we are no longer able to add users to the course as a student.

Is there another way to add students to a course, or is there a way for them to appear in the new dropdown?

Within WP admin (backend)> CoursePress> the table for my courses> the column width for Column heading is one character wide.

For example, the column heading is titled T, rather than ‘Title’. It overlaps the next column heading ‘Categories’.
The rows below are the same in the ‘Title’ column. For example, the first course title ‘Step 1’ is displayed like:

It makes it particularly difficult to make any changes to any of the courses. I am using Zerif Light not the Coursepress theme, as the courses make up one part of a wider eco system and I have other membership/payment wall plugins. Displayed on Chrome on Windows 10.

I’m dealing with CoursePress1, and I have a student that needs to change the name displayed on the course certificate after course completion.

The student originally purchased the course using different payment information and set the account up using a different First Name. The student has requested a different name to be displayed on the certificate.

I’ve updated the account information to match the new name, but the certificate itself still has the old name on it.

I’ve went through and verified that all of the student data within the course and user data within the site is correct. I see that the certificates are stored in a cache folder within the CoursePress plugin’s directory, but deleting the file and retrying to view the certificate just puts the same file back in the cache folder.

I’ve been looking through the database, but it’s not easy to go through all of the course data and find where the old name is being stored.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? It seems like it should be an easy task, but from my experience, CoursePress never makes things easy.

Any help or direction is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago coursepress was working perfectly. But now if i’m opening a course to modify some things, it won’t show the modules. It says: “Loading modules…” and this won’t complete. I opened up the console to find this error:

I need some help with this. I’m using Chrome as my browser. I’d upgraded to WordPress 5.3 before the plugin stopped working. I’ve since downgraded to WP 5.2.4 and it’s still giving the same error. Please help.

While adding Units in a course –
1.Updating Modules goes on for Ever .
2. Save whole Unit Icon Never gets activated.
3.Draft/Live selection remains deactivated

Full error message:

“There was an issue determining where CoursePress Pro is installed. Please reinstall it.”

How do I bypass this error when trying to activate the plugin? I have uploaded the plugin, I have added the plugin manually via FTP and then tried to activate it and it gives me this error. I have also tried installing WordPress 4.0 thinking maybe a different versions of wordpress would at least allow it to activate and it still doesn’t work. I have tried searching Google on how to fix this issue in general and there is nothing. Does anyone have any ideas on a workaround?

I posted about this over a year ago and it’s been a problem with CoursePress for over a year and a half. Is a fix ever going to come for this?

It wouldn’t let me post in it because it’s an old post.

I have tried a zillion times to edit the php files associated with the theme I’m using. I keep seeing instructions from your team member who indicates that Coursepress is virtual and uses the same sidebar php files as the theme.
I just can’t seem to get rid of the duplicate content in your right sidebar.

Has anyone been able to edit, or change sidebar for Coursepress? Can it be changed yes or No? If no, why design such a stupid plugin that shows the same information twice? Mark me, a very easy to use Plugin, but who wants to see the same information all over the page?

After installing CoursePress and activating I received the following lines of code on each of my pages. I did deactivate the plugin.

Course enrollment problems

Course enrollment problem occurs when you try to enroll some course.
Everything creates quite well, all steps of course making are good.
But, if registered user try to enroll for a course in Google Chrome nothing is happening after cliking to “enroll” bottom, in Firefox a waiting ring appears in the middle of display.
No messages comes to e-mail about enrollment, and enfollment doesn’t occur too.
Changing of uses status – uselessly.
Changing of types of course enrollment – uselessly.
Changing of PHP version – uselessly.
WP, PHP, Coursepress, Firefox and G.Chrome – all of them are updated to the latest vesions of 31.03.2019.
Theme of WP is called “Promote”.
Please, respond somebody who knows how to tackle this problem.

In around 1 year we are still having the same bug on our Coursepress (Free) + Woocommerce website.

The user failed payment once, tried again (successfully) but student is not generated.

To generate the student I have to basically go into the last payment page of the user (the completed one), change the status from completed to canceled and then back to completed again. Then the student on coursepress is finally generated. This happens for the 70% of the new customers.

I can do this manually, but the problem is that it happens on the weekend we have a mass of furious users saying that we are scamming them because they cannot access to the courses.

I now tried another way, by disabling the “Hold Stock field” which is set to 60 minutes by default. I will let you know if this works.

This is very important and I hope to find a solution ASAP.

I made a course using coursepress. After a user registers they are sent to a dashboard page and eventually a page with this link: https://doctordalemd.com/courses/the-successful-premed/

The problem is that there is no where on that page to click to open the course.

I’d like users to automatically get an email after registering with a link that takes them directly to the course they just bought.

I just want to notify a bug in the code, you’ll excuse my english, cause i’m not very good.

In my case, I have modules and in these modules there are pages, and Quizzes ( to pass a Quizz you must have at least 80% ). When I pass all modules my grade is 91% and the certificate is empty.

When I look at the code, the bug found concern a page when you edit a course on tab “Units”, the checkbox “User needs to answer all required assessments and view all pages in order to access the next unit” don’t act as expected. when the bouton, it’s not checked, the user don’t need to read all pages in order to be graduated, that’s not the case, the button unchecked act as if it is checked.

if you see in the code ( Class “class-student.php -> Method “get_calculated_completion_data” -> line 1275 -> $is_completed = 100 == $course_progress; // the code force the user to read all pages and there is no case it doesn’t have to.

When I create a course, and I want to check it how it looks, the coure shows me grades like “pass” or “fail”, even if I didn’t check any answer. In the course I did’n check any answer as correct and “Assessable” in unchecked too. How can I fix it?

Is there an easy way to create quizes? I mean I am ELT teacher and I want to teach for example 500 new vocabulary and create single choice test quiz. But it takes lots of time to write questions and its choices one by one.

Is there a way for example you copy and paste 500 words in to course press and it creates random vocabulary quizes?

Have been using Coursepress without issue, but the recent move to WP 5.x seems to have introduced problems with editing. In my particular case, the popular Divi theme no longer works when Coursepress is installed.

I worked through the Elegant Themes support, and they shared the following errors with me that Coursepress seems to be generating, and which now make it incompatible with Divi.

The intention was that an instructor had 100% control over his course. An instructor can add a student but can not remove a student from the course. I tried to use the “User role editor” plugin but I did not succeed, remove option does not appears for courses’s instructor. Is there a way to allow an instructor (that is not wp superuser) to remove a student from his or her own course?

I am stuck at step 1

In step 2, I could not even select any thing or lay a cursor to type.

Running WP 5.02 & coursepress 2.2
in building a couse, everything goes well until I start to add units.
When a unit is created, saved and “add new unit” is clicked, the unit just created disappears. it keeps happening and nothing shows on frontend.

I can share backend access to the demo site.

After switching to nginx because of the extreme amount of memory usage of this plugin the pdf generation fpr the certificates seems broken. It still generates pdfs for the certificates but the name and the other information filled in by the tags don’t show and show a blank area instead. The other text and image shows fine. Also to note is the fact that everything seems to show in the preview where it shows me the admins name in the certificate. Could this be anissue with curl? Or a module that is required that is missing on nginx?

Hi, I have another problem on my coursepress. So the problem is that we have an user who bought the course on Woocommerce but won’t show up in the student list. Is there any way to force an user to show up in that list? (I think Nastia still has the login for the website restaurant business coaching, so if you wanna have a look the user is Vasco Antonia) Thank you very much

I have a problem with the shortcode [course_list categories=”xxxx” show=”title, class_size, summary, cost, button”]

because I would like to create a list of courses indicating the size of the class and the number of places still available.
In theory I should be able to do this with “show = class_size” but it does not work.
What am I doing wrong?

During updating “coursepress” plugin i am not facing any issue and also after there is no error into the plugin page. but why plugin functionality not working properly into the admin area. Could you please let me know the solution and any idea about this problem…

User failed payment once, tried again (successfully) but student is not generated.

I don’t know how this happens, but when a user fails a payment and then successfully tries again there it won’t generate the student.

I’m using coursepress free + woocommerce. I would like to add this client to the student list but it’s not possible. How can I accomplish this? Thanks

I tried updating all plugin, delete the failed data payment but it won’t work.

Updated: now I tried changing the order on woocommerce from “Processing” to “Completed” and generated the password again. I wonder if I’ll have to do this again if it’s gonna happen again.
