This plugin was last updated over 3 years ago. In computer time, it’s pre stone-age. I like that way the carousel is presented on the webpage but I’m not happy dealing with the challenges of adding and ordering new images. Wordfence flagged as abandoned and highly vulnerable and so I’m even less happy with the realization that a malicious hacker could potentially bring down my site via the plugin. I’m actively searching for a suitable replacement. My advice to you, avoid CPT Bootstrap Carousel at all costs.

I used this plugin for a project where I’m moving a Bootstrap Website to WordPress. It worked perfectly and as expected, with little learning required. It’s easy for clients to use and, better still, it’s free!

It’s like there is no GUI, no interface to add images. It’s completely not intuitively.

While a theme I liked recommends this plugin, there is nothing intuitive about how to set it up or use it. There are easier carousal plugins out there.

This plugin was initially very exciting to me because it allows you to use the do_shortcode function, but having to create additional entries for each shortcode was redundant. My posts already have images attached. I don’t want to have to recreate what WordPress has already helped me to do by default.

I won’t bore you wil intricate details. The bottom line is this plugin is absolutely brilliant. It’s clean, smooth, works perfectly and doesn’t take hours to load.
Before you go giving it a poor review for ‘not working’ *cough* sutharphp *cough* just make sure you read the Bootstrap documentation and reference the CSS, JavaScript and JQuery files.

This is a handy little plugin. I was able to quickly add a Carousel to my home page in my Bootstrap 3 Theme, and can easily manage the images that appear in the homepage with the Custom Post Types. Plus, if I want to use a carousel elsewhere I easily can.
One thing that I would like to see, the ability to set different images for each breakpoint. This is for the bandwidth and load speed conscious developer.

Working fine but I got a little bug, next and previous button isn’t like the bootstrap 3 and has positioning problem also

Worked perfectly out of the box.
I made some significant changes to the code rendered on the front end but that’s not a problem.
Only issue I had is that I’d prefer to not have a sub-menu / support for categories.

It really is a drag and drop simple kind of thing. Very simple and easy to use unlike other bootstrap carousel plugins I have tried. Worked great with my existing bootstrap js and css files from wordpress bootstrap from 320press. Well done!
