I have been using this great little plugin for years on my site with no issues, but today I discovered that it is causing the Media Library to fail to load properly when trying to add an image to the image block in widgets. This does not happen when trying to add the same block in a page. I don’t know when this started happening, but I suspect it may have been the last update. I was previously using the classic editor widget screen using the Widget Options plugin, but switched to the block screen so I could remove the Image Widget plugin (as there is an Image block), and this is when I noticed this. I isolated your plugin by deactivating all plugins and then activating each one and testing.This occurs with only your plugin active so it is not a conflict with another plugin. I am unable to test it with the latest default WP theme as that doesn’t have widgets, but the theme I am using is a child theme of Blocksy. I also had the debug log on, and I think it might be related to these two entries, that coincide with my efforts to add an image to a widget when your plugin is active:

I noticed that about 5 years ago there was a support topic that related to the media library, so I am wondering if your recent update may have changed something related to that and caused this?

For now I have to deactivate your plugin when I want to add an image to a widget, and then reactivate once done, so I hope you can look into it.

Hi,

When I add the “Crossword” block in a page or article I get the message “Could not upload applet file”, even before I enter any URL for HTML or JS files.
If I try to reference the HTML / JS URLs and click on OK, same message after 5 seconds.

Could it come from any elements in my config :
– WordPress version : 6.0.2
– Crossword compiler Plugin version : 4.0.1
– Crossword compiler version : 9.10
– PHP version : 5.6.34
– SQL sever : if I get it right it is < 7.6

I would like to upload my crossword to my own website. I’ve downloaded the plugin from this link:

I successfully downloaded and uploaded your plugin.

I upload a new post, write a Title, add a new Text and upload the crossword. When i save it in draft and watch the preview the crossword is successfully visible and editable, but when i publish it and see the new post, the crossword isn’t visible anymore.

I tried to deactivate the last version of the plugin downloaded by your site and installed the version found on plugin option on wordpress but it doesn’t work either with both versions of your plugin.
I also tried to upload my crossword even with URL and Local Host, but the same problem persists.

I’m running the lastest version of WordPress 5.5.3 and tried both of your versions (12.3 and 3.3).

I have 2 options when the user finished the crossword:
Either:
Go to another webpage -> I can show the result on another page BUT i can not show the seconds. whats to do?

Or:
I can show a message -> so the user can see the resuld and the seconds.
But this a dead end. No hardcopy/sceenshot can be made, no result can send to , no feedback, no share, no send to, no nothing.

Would be nice when there would be more options.

Hi, I am building a site for a crossword creator. I have uploaded one of his crosswords and it seems to be working fine.

I would like to change the style of the crossword so it is more in line with the website style, mainly the colours of the highighted box (yellow) and the highlighted and bordered text (red). I am able to change the text font and buttons but not these items. Is this possible?

Installing and activating this plugin obstructs all site images from displaying. Their container boxes remain, but the images don’t load.

I’m using Visual Composer, so I’m not sure what you mean by “click icon in visual editor”. I think VC is obscuring your icon.

In any event, could you provide the shortcode for this plugin? I assume I can just add a shortode in a text or html block in Visual Composer…

When I activate the plugin I get the following message “The plugin generated 491 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”

Then when I edit a post or page there is no crossword box or means of adding a crossword to a post.
