An essential, lean little helper that goes on every website build that I do.
My favorite part: The option to automatically convert pasted mail addresses into mailto-links.
Thank you, Ralf!

Excellent plugin and works right out of the box. Also with divi contact module, when e-mail field is added to the form.
Thank you and all the best!

… l?uft.
Sonst musste ich mir die Mühe machen, ein Script hochzuladen, im Template aufzurufen und die E-Mailadresse in das passende Tag zu packen. Alles überflüssige Schritte mit dem Plugin.

and of course support works too!

No info on what the setup fields do and how to connect these settings to your address on a Web page. Maybe that is ok for a WordPress pro but if you just dabble in WP then how this plugin works is very ambiguous.
The suggested template should go somewhere, but where? Such a question remains unanswered for over a year in the forum.
The suggested code at the bottom isn’t updated for the settings so after doing the settings in the UI you to figure out the template code on your own.

UPDATE 7th JUNE 2015: I’ve had an increase in spam emails, so am looking for another plugin. For some reason this one is no longer working and I’ve not been able to troubleshoot the issue.
PREVIOUS RATING:
Easy to install, and it works. I did have to review some of the support comments here to see what to do.
I didn’t do much in the way of setup changes. I did have to change to unicode rather than javascript, as one person suggested.
Since I have an email address in the footer of my custom theme, I just copied the scrambled code and entered it there, works just fine. I guess I could have edited the code, but didn’t want to go there.
Hoping this will reduce spambots.

I’ve been using this for years, but for some reason just never wrote a review until now. This is such an essential plugin, especially when building sites for clients, that I use it on every active WordPress install that I manage.
With a quick setup it works in the background with no further action necessary – just gets out of your way and does its thing brilliantly.

No bugs, works fine. It is important, that scan for all the email addresses, not only mailto links as many other similar plugins.

After much trial-and-error, I have gotten Cryptx to work…mostly. Fine with or without mailto, but getting it to do the job properly is a matter of guessing over and over how to use it because…there’s NO DOCUMENTATION. Apparently it won’t work with multiple email addresses, cc/bcc, subject, etc. The plug-in site is auf Deutsch; my German is shaky, but it doesn’t matter because … THERE’S NO DOCUMENTATION. By the way, in case I didn’t mention it, THERE’S NO DOCUMENTATION. In other words, you’re on your own.
Also, if you’re using RawHTML Pro, you have to bracket email addresses with [/raw] and [raw] to get CryptX to work.
Not ready for prime time any more than the abominable WP editor.
