I have a question, when I create a post and I assign a tree of categories, I save, the url generated contains the top category but not the inner tree of categories.

Could it be possible?

I have a basic theme, only one category and single.php. I have made a custom category.php and assigned that in Categories, would I also need to create a custom single.php. How would that be assigned – in the Post editor?

The plugin doesn’t work with my theme, but I tried with Twentyfourteen and it doesn’t work too.

I can select the template in admin area, but nothing appears in front-end.

I seem to be experiencing a glitch with Custom Categories. When I turn it on on a particular Cat., the content is blank ie. I only see the header, sidebars, etc. Also when it’s on, the Cat. name replaces a menu link that is usually “Contact” (weird).

When I turn it off, the normal content of my Cat. re-appears ie. Cat. name and associated posts. I’m at a loss because it’s only happening with one category, which is seemingly identical to others where the plugin is working fine.

I have installed you plugin and I found it great for selecting the template for different category posts, but I wonder how could I adapt it to work with my custom categories and posts.

I’m using a theme that has a custom taxonomy for managing portfolio posts, URLs look like this, when I go to the portfolio category menu:

https://web.msicom.net/wordpress/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=portfolio_category&post_type=portfolio

So it seems there is a taxonomy called portfolio_category that categorizes the posts type portfolio.

How could I modify your plugin so I can also select the template for each category of the custom taxonomy?

Might have something to do with my theme (Pagelines) as well, but nothing happens when I change the template for a category.

The Category page still uses the standard template.

Works fine on a top level category, but when their are subcategories, not only does it not work right, but it won’t allow you to revert back to the default.

Hi,
i’ve installed this on a couple of different wordpress installs, running wp 3.2.1 and wp 3.3.1.
The pictured “pulldown” menu does not appear on the Categories page, and there appears to be no settings/options page.

Is there some code that needs to be added to templates for them to appear?

I know it’s a “One Column” template, but I actually would like to be able to decrease the width and add my sidebar to it. This is the only plug in so far that I have found that gives me the look I want to with a specific category.
