Despite what examples in the documentation, the plugin only works if you use single quotes for the tag parameters.
ie: [CBC country=’us’ show=’y’]Usa only content[/CBC]

I had a simple use of displaying one graphic to Australia and another to the rest of the world

Yes I turned on the Content by Country, uploaded the IP country list and turned off developer mode.
I tested the results with at least six “view website by other country” portals and got inconsistent results for all. I repeated it numerous times for each portal and it just came across too unreliable.
I eventually tried another plugin that worked 100%. The other plugin did not ask to upload IP country range.
I also noticed there seemed to be unsecured items/links in your settings pages which triggered bright red Chrome SSL cert warnings in not only the admin area but also front end. To be fair I can not guarantee this was related, but the problem did go away once I uninstalled the plugin.

Gives you control of what people see around the world. Useful in this day and age with global internet access.
But my WP pages become more complex with different country options. I gave up using it after a while. I think I had uninstalled then re-installed. I could not get it working properly any more.
That was around 2016, though. Things have probably moved on since then.

Unfortunately, this plugin did not work for me. I am on AWS and have also tried this on a site hosted on Rack Space Cloud Site Platform.
The problem is fetching the IP database. I’ve used other Geo IP based plugins and almost all of them have alternative methods to download very large IP databases from external servers. This plugin unfortunately does not.
I will change my review to five stars when the author implements an alternative IP database fetching option

Plugin is Great in terms of Functionality.
But not for Wp-Engine (Server-side Cache hosting) as if your page is cached, the results will not as expected.

Very useful for if you want to show some customised content to different nationalities/languages.
Of course it is not 100% fool proof, so don’t get any ideas of using it to run a multilingual site with it ??
