I have the same problem that zaks has.

Anyone fix that?
Thanks

]]>This seems like it would be a nice solution and very close to solving the issue, though I get a 404 when adding the category into the URL structure such as /%category%/%postname%/
The URL looks perfect though, just no post.
Any thoughts?
thanks!

]]>I have really enjoyed this plugin other than one odd problem. Randomly (seemingly) the permalinks will reset from /article/%section%/%issue%/%article% to just /article/%article%. It’s an easy fix but more of a convenience issue. Anyone have any ideas or also experiencing this problem?
]]>Hi,
I’ve used this plugin and it used to work fine until I upgraded to WordPress 3.1.
Now the custom permalink structure I use for custom post types gets overwritten by the regular permalink structure I have for other posts.
For example, I want my custom post type to be like:
/drug_sheets/drugname.html
However, I keep getting it as,
/drugname.html
Hope there is something to fix that.
many thanks,
]]>Great Plugin. I was trying to write my own solution when I found this gem. I do have one issue and was wondering if your plugin can do it:
The permalink structure is currently at /blog/%postname%/.
So, the permalink for a post is /blog/my-post-name/. I have a custom post type called “listing” so the permalink structure for that is then /blog/listing/my-listing-name/
I don’t want the prefix “blog” to show up in my custom post type’s permalink structure. I just want it to show up as /listing/my-listing-name/. Is this possible?

]]>Is it possible (either now or if I commissioned the job) to use custom meta fields in the permalink?

]]>This Plugin is So Close to working.
So when I start it up, it works great. Perfect. Then if I got to Settings->Permalinks and “save,” then the permalinks to ALL PAGES but the custom post types stop working. My guess is that you are using the same permalink tag for the post name for ALL pages, not just the one custom one I edited.
Any way you can fix this bug?

]]>Hello, I am using the Custom Post Permalink plugin as well.
I have several custom post types (named Articles, Reviews, News)
I want the URL’s for the post type to be based off of their titles and their WordPress categories: /%category%/%Reviews%/
If I try to use this structure on more than one custom post type, then I get 404’s when I go to the website.
I have only gotten the site to work with this structure (entered in the Custom Post Permalinks Plugin):
/%post_type%/%category%/%Reviews%/
/%post_type%/%category%/%Articles%/
/%post_type%/%category%/%News%/
However, I have a requirement to have the url’s without the /%post_type%/.
I’ve read up on this a bit and I know that it is less than ideal to begin your permalinks with /%category%/ but this is my requirement.
Can you help please?
I am not sure if it’s relevant, but my post types are defined like so:
[code removed - please use pastebin.com]

As I already said on your blog, although I can access single post, other archives are not available. Nothing change with new version you introduced in the meantime.

]]>This plugin is exactly what I need, but I can’t seem to get it to work. I have the post type Magazine, and the permalink is set to:
/%post_type%/%year%/%monthnum%/%Magazine%/
The individual post permalinks get a 404, example:
https://retrieverbeliever.com/Magazine/2010/09/the-labrador-retriever/
When I put in the monthly archive URL (https://retrieverbeliever.com/Magazine/2010/09) it gets redirected to this post: https://retrieverbeliever.com/2010/09/2010-grca-national/ (this is a regular post type, not a Magazine post type)
I feel like I must be missing something simple, but have hit a wall and could use some help. Thanks!

]]>Ok, this plugin works great and sets up my permalinks so I can access yearly archives like so:
https://mysite/custom-type/2010
But do you have any idea how I can actually generate a list in a template that will link to the yearly archives. wp_get_archives has no option for custom post types.

]]>Another question: maybe I am missing something, but is there a function in WordPress for a index-%post_type%.php liek thing?
Reason: I would like to have a url
domain.com/blog/ which displays all blog entries, which are a custom post type “blog”.
I want a different template for that. Single post tempaltes work fine, but how do you get that working for the “index” page?
]]>Hi,
how can I have a custom archive tempalte for my post types?
Thanks!

Hi,
I like this plugin, give me a great opportunities to create well structured site. But one feature me missing.
do you plan to add custom taxonomies ? Or could you help me a little bit how to edit your plugin ? Thank you much.
I have post type named Castback which have 3 custom categories like Photos, Videos and Written about us.
]]>I noticed that the custom posts permalink plugin only works (or adds its section to the Permalink settings page) when the custom post types are manually added via the functions.php file. Is that correct? I’m playing around with the Custom Post Type UI plugin by WebDevStudios and the custom post type permalink section doesn’t seem to work..

]]>This plugin needs more description for how-to-use. I have 4 different types of custom posts and it is not clear to me how this plugin can fix the permalink problem.
