Nice idea, but the plugin is quite severely broken and triggers nasty errors.
The problems do go away if you remove the function name clashes which are in the simple-term-meta.php file.
I’m guessing the errors have been occurring since WordPress 4.4 was released. So based on how long ago that was created, I’m assuming this plugin will never be updated :/

Custom Taxonomy Sort broke my website- completely took it offline. I can only assume it is not compatible anymore with WordPress and the developer seems to be long gone- his domain has expired and the plugin hasn’t been updated in years.

This still works like a charm on wordpress 3.7.1!
Tried three other and much newer plugins to sort my custom taxonomies and none of them worked, but this one seems solid.
The only thing it needs is for the admin column “Order” to be sortable (i.e. the taxonomies are sorted by the order you enter on the admin screen too).

It’s working fine with my 3.5.1, but need a drag ‘n drop solution for the sorting. And that would be appreciated.
