It perfectly meets the needs of my website, also if you are a programmer (like me) and you know its code, you can create very useful automation scripts.
And if you have any questions, they respond very quickly providing you with all the information you need.

Be aware, the support is somewhat irregular even for premium addo-ons. So it is a waste of time if you need to solve urgent problems or if you are considering to ask for refund.
It is a pity; the plugin is very interesting but needs a regular support for success, and some interface improvements

After a long case study, I finally got to the conclusion that WPCA is the only one I have found that let’s you restrict content by SINGLE USER and with a nice dashboard, for free.
Needs some tweeks in the skin department but it’s ok.

A very brilliant plugin for securely storing and assigning documents to specific customers/clients. Very flexible and powerful. I’d recommend another plugin for doing some ‘asset cleanup’ as the CSS is large. Brilliant plugin.

I bought the Invoice addon (because the free version is useless). The invoice addon is missing loads of currencies (including the one I need). There is no support to talk to (understandable because it is quite late) BUT… the so called “premium addon support” (witch is actually just an online forum) is also closed – the opening hours for the forum: 9am to 5pm.
Conclusion:
Useless plugin.
No client service.
I want my money back!

This free plugin is a very good start to create a private content site. Add some paid extension and you will have everything you need. Other extensions like Project and Task are also interesting for a reasonable price. It’s not always easy to understand how the plugin works but the support staff is very kind and helpful.

First, I was called a thief for asking for a refund since the plugin didn’t fit my use case. Then, I was called lazy for not doing extensive research into how I would use his plugin before purchasing the add on. I don’t know who’s burned this guy in the past but he treats you like crap for disagreeing or asking for a refund. He wouldn’t know proper customer service if it slapped him in the face. He might take the post down where he was so immensely rude for no real reason but I have screenshots and printed to pdf. Make sure you spend 5+ hours trying out every plugin or he’s going to talk down to you like you are an idiot for having an issue.

After digging into several other plugins that claim to be the best out there – this one takes the prize for the best functionality. It really does cover all of the bases. It will take you some time to set it up so I recommend that you do so on a staging site.
Honestly, I was put off a bit at first by the fact that the CSS needs some customization if you want it to look like something from this decade. However, don’t let that distract you. This is a powerhouse of a plugin. Any designer worth their salt can make it look the way they want it to.
This plugin does have a lot of moving parts, and I recommend that you look into the packages for the best deals on the extensions you may need for your business.
I also want to compliment the support team. They are very responsive and have been able to answer all of my questions (even the dumb ones) with patience and courtesy.

Perfect plot to trick the user. At the begining is “free” but if you want to do anything, you have to buy extra add-on (this plugin has more than 15 extra add-ons).
I bought 8 extra add-on (more than $100) from this plugin and finally I can’t do things that I need (for example, attach file inside conversation… Some basic service in every user area).
The design is like “MS-DOS”, new users won’t use this because it has archaic design, it has responsive design that’s true, but is really horribilis.
I talk with support to solve some things and they don’t help properly…
Finally I try to refund the plugin but it have 0 days warranty, if you buy it, you can’t refund.
Well, I don’t recomend to use this plugin defenetly.

I had an issue and the support was so good that although it was my web host company that had problems (not related at all to the plugin), Vincent guided me to the correct place to find the issue and get it resolved with my web hosting company.

Ive been trying lots of “client portal” type plugins the last several months. WP Customer Area seemed to be a good one, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I’ve had trying plugins for WordPress. Most of it centers around the unprofessional jackhats that make it.
1. The plugin looks nice, and offers lots of add-ons. If you dig deeper you’ll notice that many of the add-ons are for features that most would consider basic functionality, like allowing customers to upload files. You can’t do that without paying for it. Also, these guys are pretty money hungry, and even sell add-ons for their paid add-ons.
2. Their documentation is pretty lax and lacking. They don’t really have much for add-ons. Most of it covers the basics of the free core plugin, and not much else. The documentation that is there, is just a step-by-step of how to install and configure the plugin(s)… which is usually not a problem for most users.
3. They advertise brightly that their plugins are highly customizable and easy to make exactly how you want it, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. I have been a web designer for 15 years, and I spent hours trying to decipher their convoluted templating system and couldn’t even figure out how to change a simple element of the invoices.
4. They do not offer any sort of professional support even for paid customers. I’ll go into their actual support more in a minute, but overall they do not have support tickets, or chat, or even email support. They only offer a public forum, which turned out to be a hassle.
5. Their support and/or dev teams are awful. Let me start by saying I have installed and configured hundreds of plugins over the years, and I’m very experienced in dealing with eCommerce and Payment Gateways. I have exclusively used Stripe for a while now and have configured Stripe Gateways many many times. I bought and installed their Invoice and Stripe Gateway plugins and the two wouldn’t talk to each other properly. After discovering that they only have forums for support, I started reading other posts and my heart sank as I read post after post of unhappy customers being treated like crap, and when they demanded refunds they rudely refused. It was my fault I didn’t read their refund policy thoroughly before buying, but it is riddled with loopholes for them to hide behind. Anyway… when I posted the error I was getting which was very clear what the problem was their immediate response was “Please post your administrator username and password so we can look.” First, that’s a big no-no in my book, especially as a first response, but I’m not about to post that information on a public forum. I couldn’t believe they asked me to do that. It devolved from there, and they basically refused to help, accused me of not knowing how to configure a plugin, and ended up with me demanding a refund or I would initiate a charge-back with my credit card company. They insulted me and processed the refund. Then changed my username and password on their account so that I could not access anything, which is fine. I have no intention if using their stupid plugins anymore, but that was pretty petty… Also, I could have legitimate need to access the purchase information in the future, but whatever.
I don’t give money to people like that.
