Doesn’t work properly with Dashboard Widgets Suite. Not all widgets created by that plugin are recognized.
Also, and more important, it doesn’t have a decent uninstall. When deactivating and removing the plugin, it doesn’t reset the dashboard widget visibility to default.
]]>Hi:
I have two questions about this plugin
1. How does it work with multisite? Can I safely network activate it or do I have to activate it on each individual site?
2. Is there a way to force the install to not touch the dashboard widgets as a default? Right now the description says that it forces all widgets off the dashboard. I’d prefer to do the opposite since I have a lot of widgets I would want to remain on the dashboard. Plug some widgets already have their own role-based control.
Thanks very much!
]]>Hello,
WP Dashboard Notes
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-dashboard-notes/
put dynamicaly widgets into the dashboard – reload dashbord hide new notes – this is at the moment near by the description of this plugin.
May there is any feature solution to reload at the dashboard without deactivate and activate the plugin?
I would like to have all feature notes from WP Dashboard Notes visible “automaticaly”. So that all the widgets from WP Dashboard Notes accept the right, as already established.
Thanks and Regards,
Henry
1. Is there anyway to change the title of the Dashboard widget by unsetting and re-adding the widget a la https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/39446/change-the-title-of-a-meta-box ?
2. Is there anyway to make the settings apply to even the Administrator? I’ve got all the widgets set to “Nobody” but the settings don’t seem to apply to dynamically registered widgets for the super user.

sorry
]]>Any idea what might be blocking Quick Press from showing up? Have tried assigning it to many different roles, from Author all the way to up Administrator, but it never appears.
LOVE THE PLUGIN!
]]>I followed the instructions to visit the dashboard, then selected “Nobody” for all widgets.
All dashboard widgets still appear for Admin.
Is there something else I need to do?

]]>For some reason some of the widgets I want to display for some users aren’t listed in the plugin, like “recent comments” and “incoming links.” Both are missing.
I’m also using the User Role Editor plugin. I won’t know if that makes a difference or not. I tried deactivating it and it didn’t seem to do anything.

]]>Hi,
I’ve tried your plugin (Dashboard commander v1.0.1) on a test multisite (wordpress 3.1) of mine with no problems during and after activation.
BUT,
when I DE-activate it I get the following error:
Warning: Missing argument 2 for unregister_setting(), called in …/wp-content/plugins/dashboard-commander/dashboard-commander.php on line 84 and defined in …/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php on line 1624
The settings I used while activated are:
Recent Comments –> edit_others_posts
Incoming Links –> edit_others_posts
QuickPress –> edit_others_posts
Recent Drafts –> edit_others_posts
and the rest on –> Nobody
Please advise. Thank you in advance
