I didn’t realize this plugin had not been updated in a while, but will leave this feedback, just in case it comes alive again.
The player shows up in our site, but the audio refuses to play. I was able to get one to play this morning by resaving the original file with a new name. That file no longer works this afternoon, and now none of the audio clips will play. The player shows the clips, but the play button is greyed out.
Since this is a client site, I had to find another plugin ASAP. I really like this plugin, though! Great concept.

]]>I want to provide multiple bitrates of video in multiple formats (mp4, webm, ogv) and I want the player to select video format, playback method (HTML5 or Flash) and bitrate transparently, depending on platform and bandwidth, like Youtube does.
Is this possible with this plugin? If so, how? Please advise.

They are using the Degradable HTML5 Audio and Video Plugin. The audio file in question plays fine in all of the browsers except for Internet Explorer. I have to click the Compatibility View icon to make it work and even then it’s still falling back to Flash even though I’ve installed the .ogg file as recommended by the plugin creator.
It does work in IE without CV turned on if you right click the player but the controls don’t load so most people wouldn’t think to try that.
Has anyone else experienced this glitch and are there any solutions?
Thanks in advance

In Safari, my audio player shows up against the left side of the display.
I would like to center it. Could someone tell me how to do this? I can do
light coding, but am afraid of putting it in the wrong place, so I thought
I’d try asking here first. The audio player is at the bottom of this post.
Thank you,

]]>Hi,
I’m playing video happily using m4v files in all browsers (not tried an iPad yet) but there are no controls at the bottom. All I have is a progress bar and an animated play button in the midddle of the player area (before I click on it).
Are there more controls hidden away somewhere or do i need to add these?
Thank you very much for a great player.

I even went into the plugin’s .php file and changed the default string from “controls autobuffer” to just “controls”
Nothing I do is making it stop autobuffering. What should I do? I have pages with about 10 files per, and each one is an hour long .mp3 so I need them to only load when the user calls on them indivudually.

Have uploaded an .flv and .mp4 file and it plays fine on everything EXCEPT Chrome.
I had to change all instances of m4v to mp4 in order for it to play on the iPhone.
I thought flv files could play in Chrome as I have other flv videos playing in Chrome that use WordTube plugin.
Does anyone know how I can get this to play in Chrome?
Thank you.

]]>Hi all, not sure if this issue is directly related to the plugin, but I haven’t found another place to post the behavior. If anyone knows what to make of this, please reply, I’m at my wits’?end.
To reproduce: Use the plugin to display 3 or more audio files on the same page. Use vanilla syntax, with no extra options, in WP 3.0.1. Load the page on a Mac (tested with 10.6.4) in Safari 5.0.2 or Webkit (tested with 69728). You’ll see that SOME of the files are loaded with the Quicktime plugin, while others are not. If the page is reloaded, OTHER files are correctly loaded. There is no discernible pattern that can predict which files will be loaded and which won’t. Then view the same page in Firefox or Chrome, and you’ll see that everything works fine.
I suspect (!) that it’s a bug within Webkit, but the error could also be caused by a race condition or similar within the plugin’s JavaScript code. I couldn’t find anything on Apple’s Radar yet, so I suspect that the plugin is causing this behavior. (If it were a purely Webkit-related bug, it would be so obvious that hundreds of others had previously reported it.)
So, any ideas what’s happening here? Anyone? o_o

]]>Great plugin! We have used it to have a flash player on flash supporting browsers and also have a player on non flash loving sites. One thing I can not figure out: How to turn off the player animation? I want it to be open. We have placed the player within single.php
$shortcode = '[audio: src="'.$interviewlinks[0].'" format=mp3]
How do you turn off animation? I know how to autoplay
$shortcode = ‘[audio: src=”‘.$interviewlinks[0].'” format=”mp3″ options=”autoplay”]’;
But nothing will get animation off to work.
