Hello! I am a free user of the plugin, and so far it is very good at detecting duplicate posts on my site.
However, when I try to schedule the plugin to automatically delete posts once a week, it fails to delete any posts. The issue persists after changing the automatic time to once daily, once an hour, or once every 5 minutes. I have tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin to no avail.
Here is the debug log output.

]]>Media posts (attachments) have a post status of inherit. They do not have a post status of “publish”. The only option is to search for posts with a status of publish. When the post type media is selected no duplicates are found even though there are definitely duplicates on the site. I suspect this is related to the post status. I tried removing the “disabled” attribute on the checkbox and unchecking it, however still no duplicate attachments were found.
I checked in the options table under “delete_duplicate_posts_options_v4” to see if I could manually change the status however it is not present in the settings there.
How can we search for duplicate media attachments?

Was working fine before the recent 2 WordPress updates. Showing Duplicates but not AUTO deleting every hour.

When trying to upgrade to 4.9, I received this error message:

I have never seen this error message in 15 years of using WordPress. Also, I am able to update other plugins on my site, with no problems.
Unfortunately, I have a site that REQUIRES a couple of older plugins to work, so I can’t upgrade to PHP 7.2.
Can someone offer any assistance?

I have encountered this plugin and i can pretty much say that it works as it should so far,
Except that it doesn’t support WPML and it actually will detect translated posts with the same title as duplicate & it will result in the translated post to being deleted most of the time,
I would suggest editing the code so it sends a different SQL query to check and delete each language duplicates seperately,
Also, you can add an option to enable/disable this feature from the settings,

The plugin just finished deleting a bunch of duplicates.
The email report we received says 49 duplicates deleted but in the WP Admin panel it says 31,014 duplicates deleted.

I have been meaning to tell you that I have noticed that if one changes the cron interval, i.e., 30 minutes to 15 minutes, it doesn’t actually change when the interval of when the hook is called. One has to uncheck the “Clean duplicates automatically” box, save, and then change it again.

Two wp have been installed and two DB also.

The duplicates are detected, but they are not deleted at the specified intervals. I’ve tried using the default settings (WP cron), then disabled the WP cron and run wp-cron.php in a cronjob, but still no luck.

]]>I have a site with just over 139,000 posts which seems unable to run your plugin now. I tried running it for the first time in months only to see the little loading icon run for awhile before disappearing and no duplicates being displayed. There are no errors in the javascript console in my browser and I didn’t notice anything in the PHP error log but that site does not have debugging enabled.
I plan to split this site up into some smaller sites for performance reasons anyway, so I’m hoping maybe your guidance might help me decide how big is too big for the new ones.
In my experience most plugins only work so long until a site becomes so big that the plugin either become really slow or stop working entirely.

]]>This is only an informational post. I was having trouble creating new subdirectory sites on my multisite install. A developer and I looked through the system, thinking it was a server issue since it was stripping https: out of all new sites (meaning the newly-created site would have an address of ://mysite.com/mynewsite).
After exhausting all server-related options, we started disabling plugins and discovered it was this plugin that was stripping the text out and breaking all new sites.
