This plugin worked great, but broke down when interoperating with other vital plugins and customizations in our LearnDash install. I didn’t request a refund because the refund policy requires you to “prove” that the plugin won’t interoperate. Instead I uninstalled it within hours of buying it and cancelled my subscription. Then when I was charged a year later, I got the refund I requested, MINUS the processing fee. In summary, great plugin for relatively simple LD installs. Company policies not so great. Good luck.

This plugin is easy to deploy and well worth the cost for the paid version. Styling LearnDash is not really difficult, but this plugin will solve 99% of your challenges with getting the courses, lessons, and topics pages formatted to “look nice” in a matter of minutes, vs countless hours if you stick to just out of the box WordPress or even a tool like Elementor.
Note that the plugin will “play nice” with Elementor. It seemlessly does its job formatting the various Learndash elements such as course lists which can then be inserted into course pages that are formatted in any way, including the application of an Elementor Template.
I am finding the the actual lessons and topics pages are more or less best left alone and run in “focus” mode. With this tool, you have the perfect way to format the content for lessons and topics which then display in focus mode.
The plugin “just works”, the available tutorial video provided by the company will walk you through the configuration and setup, and in no time flat, your Learndash elements will have the look and feel you need for a professional & customized site. Highly recommended for anyone building a Learndash based course.

I debated for a bit before buying the pro version of this plugin but it really is a life saver and makes LearnDash look 1000 times better.

The plugin offers some amazing additional options to improve your Learndash site, but where they really go above and beyond is the support. I have the free and pro version which goes even further.
Dave was able to diagnose my problem, wrote some css for me, and showed me where to place it. Solved my problem perfectly!
Would highly recommend this plugin (and the pro version) if you have a Learndash site!

The plugin itself is great, I didn’t actually use the free version, I went straight to the Pro version, it’s not expensive and really gives you control over the design of your site.
I rarely, if ever, leave reviews. However, the support from Dave Warfel was truly amazing, I needed his help with having the plugin do something and a few hours later the plugin had an update with the feature I needed! Who does that?
I also mentioned I needed help with something unrelated to the plugin and he sent me custom css code to do exactly what i wanted.
Really first class.

The plugin makes the standard LearnDash installation look much better.
I upgraded to the pro version which is a steal for what you get. If you want your LMS look nice you either have to know how to tweak the details in your CSS or you use this plugin.
In addition I got superb support from Dave (author of the plugin) who is extremely helpful. The money for the pro-version is very well spent!

Design Upgrade for LearnDash goes the last mile in tweaking the CSS of LearnDash to match your selected theme. Sure, many of these are things that site managers could do themselves, but frankly I would rater focus on content and let the great folks behind this plugin support the CSS tweaks. LearnDash is a great LMS but if you want to make it look as good as some other platforms like Teachable, you need this plugin. You’ll see a big difference right out of the box with the free version. And if you get the pro version, you’ll really be able to give your course the exact look you want. Last but not least, their support is one of the most helpful I’ve seen with any plugin. I can’t recommend it enough.

I love the changes Design Upgrade implements for my course grid. It makes my site beautiful and cohesive with rounded, centred buttons, matching, appropriately sized fonts, and uniform grid sizing. I ran into an issue with LearnDash and Design Upgrade with improper column spacing when using nested shortcodes. I posted the issue on the support forum and within minutes, the author had replied. He worked tirelessly for quite a while troubleshooting and figuring out a solution to the issue. He was successful, and I was very impressed by the support and the amount of time and effort he put in to making sure my issue was resolved.

This plugin is essential for upgrading the look of learndash courses. It looks way better with the free plugin and it’s highly customizable with the Pro version. The Quiz Builder Upgrade is great as well, which let’s you customize your quizzes. This plugin also has the best customer service I’ve received with a wordpress plugin. Highly recommended.

After spending 4 hours trying to get LearnDash Visual Customizer to do what I needed, I luckily got a quick user-friendly refund. After the fact, I discovered Design Upgrade Pro! Damn if I didn’t have trouble getting that working (I thought)…. but I was just burnt out.
I emailed support and not only got a lightning-quick response, but a custom video showing me that the plugin was working perfectly and I missed an important minor detail. PROBLEM SOLVED!!
I quickly upgraded my license and am completely satisfied and quite surprised. Bravo Design Upgrade Pro…. Professionals indeed!!!!!
