I was looking for a plugin to disable gutenberg edit and then came across this plugin. Found out that it not only disables Gutenberg but also helps me disable automatic updates and other editing tools on the site.

I’ve been using this plugin for over a year now. I was tired of automatic updates messing up my site. Now, no more unexpected updates that break? my site. Plus, the ability to disable theme editors adds an extra layer of security. Great job to the developers!

After activation the plugin page was no longer responsive and my website went offline. I had to delete the plugin from the directory on the server to get it going again – nasty surprise.
