To me with php 8.0 it upload the pictures but after upoloading I don’t receive the ok.
]]>Hello,
I recently downloaded this plugin but it does not seem to be working. Does anyone know if/when it will be compatible with Version 5.9.2?
This plugin is my last hope.
]]>Sometimes after you install this plugin, you will see that many images that you previously stored had stopped showing full size, in this case you should regenerate thumbnails. This plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ will help you solve this issue.
This happens because once you propagate images with non scaled link on the newer images, the old images sometimes get left behind. This is the solution to this problem.
]]>This is not an issue with this plugin, but it’s related to the big_image_size_threshold feature, so I was hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.
I have a site where the client has uploaded several images that have been auto-scaled down. I’ve since used the same filter this plugin uses to disable it, which works great for new uploads. However, previous media uploads are still outputting the “-scaled” version of the images.
My question is, is there a way to programmatically revert to using the originals, or will my client have to re-upload the affected images? It’s a little frustrating because the original images are still in the uploads folder and even linked in the Media Library, but I can’t find a way to revert to them from the scaled versions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! (And I apologize for opening an issue on this plugin, I was just hoping someone here might have run into this issue before.)
]]>Thanks Jonathan, this plugin is awesome!
]]>Hi Jonathan,
My client have really long image on the page in the link and it is now automatically scaled by WordPress. Even after installing your plugin I wasn’t able to upload the original size and display it on the page.
Why it isn’t working?
Thanks,
Marko
First, thank you for creating this plugin. While I see it is a brilliant one-liner, I was wondering what your thoughts were with regard to giving the ability to always have the plugin activated but to have it’s effect in place only for admin users. Perhaps others would find it helpful for other roles as well.
Some background: my design coworker is trying to use Elementor to upload SVG files, but WP gives the upload error presumably because vector images are being processed differently than raster images, and they appear to trigger the big image size threshold. Your plugin works to resolve this issue just fine. However, I am in the position of needing to temporarily activate the plugin when my design coworker needs to upload SVGs, and then deactivating when they are done. This in order to prevent the site’s auth’d customers from being able to upload actual huge raster images.
It would be super helpful to have a setting for your plugin such that the site admin could check a box to either “allow all users” or “allow only admins” as needed for their site. Bonus if there were a multi-select box to pick from a set of site roles. In either case, thus leaving the plugin activated always.

]]>Your plugin doesn’t seem to work on my system (Debian 10, PHP 7.4, WP 5.4). Are you planning to support 5.4?
]]>Hi
Thank you for the plugin! Is it possible to change the plugin in a way, that it doesn’t change the filename at all? Keep the name from the uploaded image as it is. In the moment it adds a “-1” to the filename, what is not really beautiful if you take care of clear file names.
If you can change this fast, it would be great. I would even send you some bucks, by Paypal, for example… ??
Greetings and thank you for your help

I’ve tried manually adding the filter to functions.php in my child theme and using this plugin, and neither seems to work on a pretty clean 5.3.2 WP install.
I’ve tested it with every other plugin disabled too.
Everything is still getting -scaled
Any ideas? ??
]]>The plugin definitely does everything it is suppose to do. I do still have one unresolved issue I’ve never found a fix for. The IPTC data I assign through lightroom ends up getting stripped. Not sure if this can be address through this plugin or by another means. Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks for you help.
]]>The plugin isn’t helping. Still getting the same error message as before. ??
]]>Hey! Thanks for making this plugin. I’m still seeing 1024px versions of my images after upgrading to 5.3.
