Just activate it and it works. No fancy popups, settings, begging for reviews, etc.

This plugin helps a lot when you need to test or import and need to disable email sending.

We needed to make sure that automatic emails do not go out to customers from a staging site. In conjunction with an mail logging plugin, you can still see which emails would have gone out, so also great for troubleshooting email processes. Install, activate, done. Thank you!

I’ve been using this Plugin a lot lately and it does a great job while also being ridiculous easy.

Great plugin that we use on our staging sites. Some sites use a pre-order plugi for WooCommerce, sending out mails when particular launch date is there. Of course, we don’t want the staging site to sent out mails. That’s a no go.

I use this on every WordPress site during development. Really quick and easy to use. It’s wonderful to not have to worry about accidentally sending a bunch of test emails to a client’s customer base. ??

I have used this plugin in a couple of situations.
The first is when I have to spin up a development version of a live site for testing. When this is done for testing something like data import on a version of the live site’s data (such as verifying certain user data), we can’t have emails going out to those users. In the past, I had generally just blanked the user emails or put in a dummy email. But that doesn’t allow you to do certain testing such as updating data on the user profile screen because it would trigger an email error. Using this plugin now allows me do full testing on a dev site with full user data without fear of emailing the users.
The other place I have found it useful is on demo sites. As a plugin developer, there are times that I have to set up a demonstration site for a plugin. Using Disable Emails makes it possible to do that without having the demo site sending out emails.
It has definitely earned a permanent place in my toolbox.

I don’t understand how this is not part of WP core… Disabling emails sent to users is absolutely necessary when working with live user data on dev/staging environments.

After much frustration with users receiving emails after creating new users with a .csv file upload plugin, I learned that WP seems to generate these emails automatically – not the plugin itself – with no obvious way to disable this feature [bug]. This plugin seems to have resolved that issue. Kudos to these guys for a simple fix.

When I updated to version 4.3, I was shocked that now WP wants to send out new user emails by default. Looked around the web, then the plugin repository and came across this much needed plugin. Thanks to the developer for creating this. Until WP fixes this issue, many are going to rely on it.

Gotta admit. Works as advertised. Shuts down ALL site-level email.
