Hello, I’ve installed the Disable responsive images plug in because some images where showing blurry on Safari 8.0.8
The plug in didn’t solve the issue but created another problem: All images are now blown-up in all browsers and they are reduced in safari 8.0.8. I’ve deactivated and deleted the plug in but the issue still persists.
Any suggestions? I appreciate your help. Thank you.
]]>Hi, just wondering if the plugin is still needed? I’ve upgraded to 4.6.1 but forgotton where the images looked bad.

Dev? Any idea why it stopped kicking in?

I would like to disable generation on upload because I upload a lot of images and space goes out quick with this feature.
Is there any way to disable it?
Thanks in advance

]]>Thank you. Great plugin. It helped me a lot. Now it forces my themes to use the same size thumbnail across all devices it seems.
I was wondering though if perhaps the image size taxonomies that you have on a site could be made to show as an added function in the plugin and then allow you to specify which sized image you want to be used as a thumbnail.
The problem with my site is that the theme still seems to choose one of the larger image sizes for the thumbnail and I would like to force it to use one of the smaller sized thumbnails that it has available (even though they will be much lower resolution and image quality) just so that the site loads quicker.
Thank you.

]]>Hi there! I’ve delayed updating to the new version of WordPress because I’m still working on fixing some issues it will cause in my theme. One of the things I’m having a hard time figuring out is how the new responsive images will affect my setup. I’m thinking this plugin might be good to install while I figure things out, so I hope you don’t mind my asking these questions here…
1) From what I understand, the new medium-large image size will only affect new uploads (that is, new sizes won’t be created for existing images, only new ones). However, I just want to confirm that this size would only be generated provided that the upload is larger in the first place, and if the upload is smaller than the new size, then it would have no effect.
2) I am currently using Mobile Detect (via Custom Content Shortcode) to load different sized images based on the visitor’s device. Will the new responsive images play nice with this setup? Ideally, what I would like to do is use the new responsive images feature moving forward (so on new posts & pages, etc.), but leave old posts and pages as is for the time being. Eventually I would convert older content to the new setup, but only as time allows and probably just a little bit at a time. Would the two methods play nice together until the conversion is complete?
Many thanks in advance for helping me figure out whether this plugin is right for me!
