The ‘Display Remote Posts’ plugin always displays the most recent post in each block, and I want to display different posts in different columns.
Could you customise the plugin to add an additional parameter for the offset.
Anyway, I am looking for a solution to display several news next to each other in columns or blocks.
The plugin works beautifully. I have a small request. When several posts are displayed the title is a bit closer to the image of the post above it. That makes it seem like it is the title for the above post rather than the one below it. Could the title spacing be changed to correct that?
]]>First of all, thanks for your hard work! I wanted ask, whether it would be possible to add an option to display a post’s date to you block?
Also, could the behavior be changed, that when setting the image size setting to 0, the displayed images respect the maximum size of the container, i.e. a group?
Thanks!
]]>The block does not load the latest post from Blogger. This happened before and it was not a block problem but something on Blogger, but I can’t remember what the solution was. Maybe someone can remind me of what needs to be reset or done.
]]>When displaying a remote blog post is it possible to set the hyperlink to open the post in a new tab instead of the same window. For links that direct visitors away from our site we like to open in a new tab so they still have our site open and will be back to the browsing session.
]]>On my “Latest” page there are ten instances of the DRP block Each block displays the post title and the featured image for one of my blogs.
The featured image is typically a 2400 pixel wide photo and thus a rather large file. My page takes 20 to 25 seconds to load.
Is it possible to have the block use one of the smaller auto-generated copies of the image?
If the “Medium” size image (which has -300x… added to file name) were used, the needed file, typically 300 pixels wide, would be substantially smaller. For example the 2400 px uploaded file is 3.87 MB, the 300 px file is 33.03 KB. That is over a hundred times smaller. The load times would be significantly quicker.
]]>After I fully localized this plugin and GlotPress pushed the language pack to my site, all UI strings were kept as English, not translations.
Please check this issue, thanks.
]]>Hi,
I can’t get the plugin to work on our dev site. I get the following message when adding the block to a page/post:
Error loading block: Invalid parameter(s): attributes
This message is visible immediately. No content is shown regardless of block settings.
My best guess is Display Remote Posts Block is incompatible with one of the already installed plugins. Are you aware of any compatibility issues? Or could there be some other problem?
