I have the problem to use the DMS Guestbook plugin with my homepage
If I want to start DMS Guestbook in the wordpress backend, this message came:
“Error thrown
Call to undefined function split()”
What is the problem and how can I resolve it???

The backend pages of DMSGuestbook are not working with PHP 7. There comes only this message:
Error thrown
Call to undefined function split()
Is there a fix for this?

just installed the plugin and all is working fine.
But I have a strange results.
I set-up the Guestbook front page; with Entries showing on the top and signing book form on the bottom.
But every time there is either an Error Message or posting entry success message, I can see TWICE the SAME NOTIFICATION.
First message is above the entries and same message just above the submission form.
Much appreciated and thanks in advance for the support.
Uses has_cap function, which is deprecated since 2.0

After latest WordPress update my dmsguestbook is broken. If i post something in the guestbook. all it shows is the date 1970-01-01 time 00:00 no name, email, http or post.
Anyone else with the same problem?

The guestbook itself is nice but wow, it’s a complete spam magnet. I have to manually delete spam entries every day. That’s no fun.
I disabled the ‘website’ field but the spam entries all share a common thing: they force an url on their name even though there is no website field.
Wouldn’t the easiest way to prevent spam be to make the plugin block/remove an entry the moment an url is encountered?

I love this plugin and I am using it since I started to work with wordpress.
I am wondering, why we can’t get “onfocus” to work in the fields and in the textarea?!
I mean, it would be really great to have the entry field for name and mail and so, but without a special line above or next to it, telling “name” or “mail”. This is how I have it right now: https://www.jz-oz.de/gaestebuch/#guestbookform.
In ~/dmsguestbook/template/form/default.tpl there should be a possibility to work with something like this:

Hi again fellas.
Ive changed the urlfield to another field. I want people to write where they are from. So the field are like cityfield now. Ive managed to remove the urlicon and make it write out the input text.
But i must write in a kind of url to make it post, because somewhere in the code there is a litle script saying it must contain www. or .com or something like that. But i wanna be able to just write “Stockholm” for exampel.

1. There was a old entry here about: Page numbers and navigation on same line. I want this aswell, but when i tried to change to code it wasnt the samt as the one in that post. Any ideas?

Neue Eintr?ge k?nnen erstellt werden. Ich bekomme auch die email mit dem entsprechenden Eintrag. Gehe ich dann zu DMS G?stebuch -> Eintr?ge, sehe ich einen leeren Eintrag mit dem Datum vom 01.01.1970.
K?nntest Du bitte das Problem noch l?sen, ansonsten müssten alle User auf ein anderes Plugin migrieren. Und da kommt das n?chste Problem, wie migriert man die alten Eintr?ge?

Is it all possible to auto email a user once a entry has been submitted and approved by the admin?
I am wanting to use this on a restaurant website so looking for:
– Someone to post in the guestbook
– Comment awaits approval
– If approved an email is sent asking for them to also add a review on trip advisor
Is this possible?
