Hi,
If you do a whois for a .org domain it fails with errors similar to below:
=========================================
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/xxxx/public_html/wp1/wp-content/plugins/domainlabs-whois/domainlabs-whois.php on line 133
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to :43 (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known) in /home/xxxx/public_html/wp1/wp-content/plugins/domainlabs-whois/domainlabs-whois.php on line 133
0(php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known)
=========================================
I’m using:
case “org”:
$server[“host”] = “whois.pir.org”;
$server[“notfound”] = “NOT FOUND”;
break;
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks.

We’re using your plugin which works very well. Thank you. I do have a question however, I want to create a link to perform a whois and pass a domain name to the plugin. So in other words, when someone links on the link to the Whois, I want to have the domain name (www.ads-software.com for example) to already show the Whois search results for that particular domain name.
For example something like this…
https://example.com/whois-search=?www.ads-software.com
Is there any way to do this? Right now we can only create a link to our whois page but then the end user has to retype the domain name and click search.
Thanks,
John

]]>Hi,
Would it be possible to change the result that this plugin returns to either show “Domain not found” or “Domain Found” for example ?
When a registered domain is found it returns all the registrar information. Im trying to get mine to just display a custom message. Editing the “Domain not found” was simple but being able to display a custom message for a domain that does exist hasn’t been successful ??
Please help if possible ?

]]>Hello,
I’m using your plugin, but don’t understand where and how to place the results in a page.
I thought the %%whoisresults%% would display this, but it just shows the box to enter the search.
When i enter the information it redirect to /whois
