I was trying to add different channels for notifications but its not working.
grocery is my default channel/everything is working there but when I am trying to add another channel there or even adding the new channel or adding a specific person..nothing wokring.

I have a custom post_type called “Website Conversation Thread”. When I set up the plugin to send a notification on Publish, Pending, Draft, it does not trigger.

When I set up a notification for the same post_type on Moved to Trash, it works.

Why would it not work for this post_type for any of the other statuses, except moved to trash?

Hi,

I’m actually just asking to see if this is functionality. However, if it isn’t already functionality, perhaps it could be.

When I’m on the new post page, is there a chance that this could present me with a check box to send a notification to SLACK when published to notify a channel?

So, for example:

1. I am writing; “People That Like Spurs Are Horrible Nasties” ?? …
2. I then check the box.
3. When the article publishes it sends a notification to the SLACK in order to let people know that they’ll need to look out for reaction to this.

Any chance getting new notifications for:

‘Author’ User Role Login
‘Contributor’ User Role Login
‘Editor’ User Role Login
Custom User Role(s)/Capabilities

Adding support for the roles above and optionally other roles (custom roles and/or capabilities created) would be very useful for tracking and accountability purposes as well as beneficial for security.

Basically, expanding the user’s choice of other roles and or capabilities as well and not just notify on ‘Administrator’ role.

I’d love to not have to dig through Woocommerce logs looking for the abandoned_cart.success event to fire.

Adding a Notification for it would be excellent.

Thank you for making this plugin. Everything works as expected, except that the NAME and IMAGE on the settings are not being honored.

When it posts to slack it just shows the “App” name (from where the webhook came from) and that generic slack application icon.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!!

Is there a way to be able to add an excerpt? Having the title is great, but it would be nice to have a little more content. Maybe the excerpt or the content itself.

Once again, your plugin is very useful and works really great!

On my installation, I configured the plugin so that a slack notification is triggered when a specific custom post type (“A”) is published.
I also have other custom post types that should not trigger a slack notification (“B” and “C”).

Slack notifications are triggered every time “A” is published. Great! The problem is that, everytime “B” or “C” custom posts are published, they also trigger a slack notification in the same channel as for “A”.

There is no configuration for those notifications, only for “A”!

Is it something that you could fix?

Hi,
There are two issues I am facing:
1. When I try to add a notification for a different/multiple channel(s) it only goes to one channel.

For example:
Post published for channel hello
Post published for channel goodbye

I created two seperate ones and changed the “Channel” but it only goes to the default channel.

2. When I try to change the default channel, bot name, and run the test it still goes to the previous default channel.

Any help would be appreciated,

I love the plugin! However, since I set it up on my website on Friday, I received the same Theme update notification 6 times on Friday, 14 times on Saturday, and 2 times on Sunday… Is there a way to make the plugin send the notification only once?

The following notifications aren’t working:
[Topics] Topic Published
[Topics] Topic Updated
[Replies] Reply Published
[Replies] Reply Updated

The built in integration test works no problem as well as other notifications such as:
[Forums] Forum Published
[Posts] Post Published

Great plugin worth 5 stars.
I need your help in me understanding how this is working. Currently my site [ redundant link removed ] is an ecommerce store. I earlier created a notification which fires whenever a new order is placed on the site and sends the order details to a private channel in slack.

However, I had created another notification which should send a slack message to the same private channel as soon as the order payment is complete.

But for some reason the notification is fired to the default public channel. I am not sure why this behaviour is happening.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this?

Hi,

Whenever I create a new post in a certain custom post type, a notification goes to the wrong channel. It is the channel that was set as default when I tested it out, but since then the default have been changed, as have the channel specifically set to get notices when a new post is created. Yet, it goes to the wrong channel.

Any idea on how this can be solved?

Whether the plugin “Slack Notifications by dorzki” is compatible with wordpress V 5.0 ?
