]]>Dear “Draw Attention” Plugin Support.
I have wondered why on Iphones the link-target doesn’t open in a new tab/window, even the checkbox in the settings (Open in New Window) is checked.
As I studied your code I have found in the public.js (line: 533) this if-statement:
if (areaData.target == “_new” && !isMobileSafari) {…}
So it seems that this is on purpose and I ask why. Because it makes no sense to me.
Because we link to an other page, we need to jump to a new tab/window.
Greetings,
Thomas Huber
The plugin does not support WEBP and AVIF formats. I’ve used 2 hours disabling plugins, PHP versions etc. And then I found out that the reason for content to not show in frontend, was because I did use a WEBP format.
Changes it back to PNG and now it works.
Please add support for WEBP and AVIF ??
I’m updating an image with a bunch of sponsor logos for our annual event. Last year’s event image had 30+ sponsor logos with corresponding hotspots and links. I am updating the image with this year’s current sponsors, which aren’t all the same as last year. Not all of last year’s sponsors have signed on, but I know some will again. Rather than deleting their entries in the current image and having to re-enter everything them when they come aboard later, is there a way to hide or suppress a particular entry to make it inactive, and then just toggle it back on to make it active again later?
I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

]]>I’ve created the map and the website is live. Everything worked great for a day or so but now the map shows the broken image icon. If I flush the cache in my managed wordpress for the website it’ll work again for a few hours but then stops working. Any ideas?
]]>I have the latest version of WordPress and Draw Attention.
If you use the plugin for the Classic Editor – so you get the old style page editor, with Draw Attention active, the Move to Trash link that should be in the Publish box is hidden via CSS.
If I deactivate Draw Attention the link appears.
If I deactivate the Classic Editor and use the Block Editor, Move to Trash appears.
So it seems there is a conflict between Draw Attention and the Classic Editor.
]]>I am unable to change the layout. All the docs and videos show that there is a lightbox option in layouts but after installing I do not see that. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
Hello,
Is there a way to completely remove the title and the additional info box? I would like to use only the image map without any additional info.
Many thanks in advance!
Hello, I have a question regarding the size of the image. Can I only use a full width image in the PRO version?
Another question if I may. When I purchase the PRO version, if I don’t renew it annually, will my version be FREE again or is this renewal just to continue receiving support and updates?
]]>Hello everyone!

]]>Is the plugin working in the new version of WordPress 6.6? Is it safe to install and activate?
]]>Hey there,
I am not fully sure on which end it is, but it looks to me this issue is triggered from the Draw Attention plugin. I have Happy Files installed which is a plugin for managing the media assets in the media gallery in WordPress.
The layout is pretty much completely broken on the ‘add media’ dialogue as soon as Draw Attention is enabled. It also throws an error in the console:
TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'addEventListener')
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (news-letter.js?ver=2.0.25:54:5)
Draw attention enabled: https://cln.sh/9Rq5PpZK
Draw attention disabled: https://cln.sh/1lqzH3yq
If you need the Happy Files plugin or more details about it please let me know.
Thanks for checking
best wishes
Markus
Good morning,
I find it sad, AND EVEN very damaging, that for the “premium” (free) version there is no possibility of using the Polylang extension.
This is a big limitation.
]]>Hi,
Is there a zoom in / zoom out functionality? with a plus and minus icon.
If not in the free version, maybe in the paid version?
If this is not possible at all, does plugin “WP Image Zoom” work with “Draw attention”?
Best regards and thank you in advance
Markus
]]>Hi,
I′m close to installing this plugin. One question before I do that.
Can I also use pins resp. icons? I want to create a world map with different locations, which are marked with a pin each. And by clicking on the pin there should appear an info.
Or do I have to have the pins already in the image. And then mark them as areas?
Thx in advance and best regards
Markus
]]>I’ve linked spots 1 and 2 to a photo in the media library via URL. I’ve tried two “force images to display in lightbox” plugins but the hotspot click still opens the image file as the direct URL, not in a lightbox. Is this possible?
]]>In newer versions, the order of hotspot areas cannot be applied. It allows drag on new possition, but after save, the order is the same. Does anyone else have this problem?
]]>Hello! – Thank you for your awesome work!
Is there any way to style the on-hover tooltips?
Thanks in advance!

]]>Hi! Great plug in! So thank you!
I am trying to increase the width of the info box on the left and decrease the main interactive image % width. I have followed your instructions carefully, using the following CSS code that you have posted on your own support page (some of the elements don’t paste here), but the image size isn’t reducing. I have checked again that I have the right image id and have reduced the min-width, but still nothing.
@media (min-width: 900px) { hotspot-{ID}.layout-left .hotspots-image-container, hotspot-{ID}.layout-right .hotspots-image-container {
-webkit-flex: 0 0 50%;
flex: 0 0 50%;
} hotspot-{ID}.layout-left .hotspots-placeholder, hotspot-{ID}.layout-right .hotspots-placeholder {
-webkit-flex: 0 0 50%;
flex: 0 0 50%;
max-width: 50%;
}
}
Awesome plugin thank YOU.
How to make one element red and another green?
Thank you for your answer

I’ve created this image map, but I’d like the dots to always be visible so users know where to hover and reveal the part name. How can I achieve that?
]]>Is there a setting that shows where the hotspots are rather than the use having to mouse all over the place to find them?

just got notified through Wordfence about this:
Thanks!

]]>Hi, the click areas are working well in Chrome and Opera, but not in Safari. I am using Yootheme Pro template system. Do you have an idea how to get it working with Safari?
]]>Clicking on the linked area in Chrome and Opera are working well, but in Safari it shows a popup with [object Object]! So that is a bad experience by using Safari browser. Please check, thanks a lot.
]]>Hey,
I need to update and replace an image and when I try to do this, all my hotspot areas are messed up. I paid attention to upload the updated image in the exact same size. But it seems somehow all the hotspot areas must be re-drawn again manually.
Is there perhaps some trick to replace an image?
Thanks a lot for you help – might save a lot of time
best regards
Markus
Hi there,
I could use some help on how to show the imagemap full-size. As my theme is using a boxed layout I followed your website FAQ and installed the FW template-set and selected it for the given page/URL.
Many thanks in advance & KR,
