Why was this plugin closed?

hello.the app is great and I had found it like bug that will be upload same photos from instagram to wordpress.please modify the target source or let me know how to install correct the photos from instagram using your app.I shot the target screen shot for you so refer that please.

I am not sure this plugin is still active but the check for missing importsis not working.

Steps to reproduce the issue
– Import all IG posts to a custom post type.
– Delete all these custom post type.
– Press the check for missing imports button, no post is imported.

I’m testing your plugin, but it breaks at some point depending on the imported images.

– Plugin options: remove hashtags on import doesnt work
– Post Title: it would be handy to use the picture timestamp as title. At import now, it takes the title which contains often emoji and hashtags. It concatenate everything to use as permalink, but as it is too much, it breaks and there is no extension added. The result is a grey picture. See here: https://screenshot.s.emp.re/0faaaf30e133
– Filter import by hashtag: should be nice to be able to exclude too.
– Filter: would be very handy to exclude movies from import

Sorry being lazy without reading all the blurb and trying to make sense of it
1. Is this plugin still working?
2. It imports images into the media library of wordpress?
3. If question 2 answer is Yes do we need to buy a pro version to do this
4. Is there a pro version

I’d like to know if DsgnWrks Instagram Importer imports videos that I have SAVED from other Instagram users? If so, will a featured image video thumbnail be generated? What happens when I add more videos – will videos that I have already imported be omitted or would they overwrite existing videos already imported?

I mostly import Youtube videos to my wordpress site from other Youtube channels via a plugin called “Youtube Videos To WordPress Posts” version 4.2.1. BTW – its a great plugin. The uploaded videos come with thumbnails and metadata and are expressed exclusively in posts. I have several questions about DsgnWrks Instagram Importer and if it can do what I need.

BTW – Currently I can not paste Instagram embed code directly into my posts. The videos don’t express for unknown reasons at this time and even if they did they would not come with a featured image thumbnail.

Hopefully very few people subscribing to this form.
This plug-in use to be the best choice, for some reason development seems to have stopped as well as support.

I just spent basically one all day trying to figure out what is wrong with the Cron job = there is nothing wrong with it.
In other words I can get this plug-in to start importing again. Worth mentioning that it used to work just fine.

So I needed an alternative to this plug-in, anybody out there who has any suggestions on a plug-in that is maintained and does the same thing as this one used to do?

Plugin can not import new photos after WP 4.9.3 update. Help me, please. Which more info do you need?

it is really a cool tool for images, but i want that on a blog post where is only a vid only the vid appears. Now there is the image and the vid. I tryed it with IF but it doenst work .. Is there a solution?

The plugin was working just fine until it stopped importing automatically in October. I tried to import manually and then it went kaput. It won’t let me uninstall it from WordPress, so I went ahead and deleted it from cpanel on my server. When I reinstall it by uploading it again to my server and then activating it, I only see “DsgnWrks Instagram Importer Options” in the settings page and everything else is blank. I’ve also tried installing the debugger but same result. It looks like I haven’t deleted all necessary data from my cpanel and some info is still hanging somewhere there? Maybe that’s why a reinstall won’t fix the problem? Please help. Thank you.

I’m successfully using this plugin on 4 separate sites. They are all hosted on the same server environment.

After about 3 months the Instagram access token seems to get revoked and we have to re-setup the User. No new images are auto-imported at this point.

Accessing the api.instagram.com/v1/users/XXX?access_token=XXX.YYY URL it returns an error code 400 “The access token provided is invalid.”

Do you know any reason why this would happen? Could there be something specific in our server setup, which would cause this timeout of the access token.

I’m having the “No new Instagram shots to import” issue. Given the amount of images I am importing, and as per your Install instructions, I tried first importing images from May/2017, that worked fine. Then I tried importing from a month before that, and I get “No new Instagram shots to import”. Tried deleting all posts, media, empty bin, but to no avail.

Any ideas what might go wrong?

hi – I have the instagram importer set to import pics once per day. Unfortunately if more than two pics have been added to the instagram feed in one day, it will only bring in two at most. Is there a way to change this setting so all photos on a day get imported?

Default supported image types are ‘video’, ‘image’ – add ‘carousel’ to import the new carousel type from Instagram. dsgnworks-instagram-importer.php line 674

I encountered an issue where the latest 2 posts were carousel images, so the importer ignored them and ended up not importing anything.

I setup the plugin; set the Category to Instagram and date filter to 1/1/17; hit the Import button and got a dialogue that the import was starting, but nothing happened.

I’ve tried re-installing the plugin and de-authorising the accounts. But now when I connect to IG there’s no detailed User Options screen (like this https://ps.w.org/dsgnwrks-instagram-importer/trunk/screenshot-2.jpg?rev=1642446) – only the add another user and plug in options screens.

Is it possible to re-import (or update) a post made by DsgnWrks Instagram Importer?

I have edited a post on Instagram (changing its text) but when I try to re-import it, the plugin says that there is nothing new to import.

Importer is working just fine BUT my posts on my blog page all have an excerpt and a “Read more” instead of the image.
My regular posts show the full post.

This plugin works great for us, but it’s not importing multi-photo Instagram posts. Is there a setting I’m missing?

The title says it all: Automatic import not automatically importing

I have laboriously deleted and recreated my user to no avail. My Instagram Importer is not triggering automatically.

Here is the configuration. What am I missing?

Currently, the DsgnWrks Instagram Importer imports images from Instagram starting with most recently posted first and continuing until it encounters a post it has already imported.

The problem with this is that if it encounters an error (connection error, page reloaded before it is finished, etc), some images will never be imported. When you attempt to re-trigger the upload, the most recently posted image is already imported and thus there are “lost” posts never imported. This has been a challenging problem for me since I am in an area with very spotty connectivity.

If the plugin were to find the next post after the last one imported, and then import from earliest to latest, if there were any interruptions it would continue where it left off next time.

Is it possible to remove all hashtags EXCEPT for ones that you specify?

I’d like to remove hashtags at the end of the caption but not within the caption. I need to keep just one hashtag and remove the rest.

first time with this plug-in so i maybe missing the obvious …

i’m trying to import with a hashtag, but it only imports one or two. have attempted with no date filter and doing the batch importing month by month (per a post i found here), but still no luck. only the most recent one came in.

Categories to apply to imported posts. test

everything else is left at default. i haven’t touched any of the post title or content parameters because i don’t understand shortcode construction and/or php. i tried to find some more detailed instruction to help me learn more, but no luck.

plug-in looks very practical, hopefully someone can help me along my learning curve toward realizing full potential.

This plugin stopped importing Instagram posts on or about 2/26/17. I tried deleting all Instagram posts and re-importing and like others in this forum just get ‘No new Instagram posts’.

In addition, I can’t delete the plugin – get an error when trying to delete.

It looks like this is broken. Any ideas on how to get this working again?

Using WP 4.7.4/plugin 1.41

I’ve had this weird issue since installing this plugin. I have my posts importing into a custom post type. This works fine, runs every day and imports as expected. Then I have a secondary import that happens. It’ll import the images as a post draft. I think I might have originally saved that setting accidentally when importing and now it just keeps doing it. I installed the cron job plugin as suggested and don’t see 2 processes, so I’m assuming it’s doing all in the same cron job for the plugin. I’ve attempted to remove the plugin and re-set it up, but it doesn’t stop the post drafts from coming. Is there somewhere in the DB I can look to see where all the cron jobs the plugin is running and remove this original one?

Hi i am wondering if it is possible to import from instagram for a specific #tag?

My followers are using specific #tags in their content to get thier videos and pictures show cased on my blog. Currently I have to manual search through all the tagged posts and manually add them to my site.

It would be great if there is a plugin that could detect all posts with a specific has tag and automatically add that into my blog.

I’m sure I am missing something really simple but I just can’t figure this out. The plug in imports everything wonderfully (thank you!) except that it shows the image by itself and then the Instagram feed. What am I missing to stop the image from showing twice?

The plug-in seemed to work well to start with. I had it set to Twice Daily imports and I dont post much to Instagram.

However the last couple of Instagram posts I have made havent been imported.

Does the hashtag keyword need to be at the end of the Instagram post? That’s soemthing I dont always do.

Is there any way to get it to re-check, or log activity so we can see what might be going on.
