None of my website URL slugs are identical – every page has a totally different URL that doesn’t match the other pages. One page is supposed to be detoureffectphotofeed.com/2012, another page is detoureffectphotofeed.com/2013, another is detoureffectphotofeed.com/2014, etc. Yet because I used the Duplicate Page plugin to create each page, it keeps putting a “-2” on the end. So I’ve actually got detoureffectphotofeed.com/2012-2, detoureffectphotofeed.com/2013-2, detoureffectphotofeed.com/2014-2, etc.

I understand that there can’t be duplicate page names or file names and WordPress will add a -2 if there are, but that’s what’s weird; the page names are NOT the same. Even if I try to change them again (which I shouldn’t have to do because they are already unique), no matter what I change it to, it always adds the -2.

The way I created the pages is like this: I first created the page called 2012. Then I used the Duplicate Page plugin to create a copy of that page, which I think was originally called 2012-copy. But then I went into the editor to change the slug to “2013” instead. Even though there are no other pages or files called “2013”, after clicking “save” it automatically reverts the page name to “2013-2”.

The support person responding to that inquiry just keeps saying “you can’t have duplicate page names, you have to edit the slug” but clearly isn’t getting that we ARE trying to edit the slug and we DON’T have multiple pages with the same name, yet the -2 gets added no matter what.

There’s a bug with global color variables – when I duplicate a page or post, everything looks great besides all selected global colors are gone. Instead of color:var(–accent-3) it says color:var(u002du002daccent-3).

My customer’s site is using Ovation’s Business block.

The “home page” is not listed in the wp “all pages” section. It is only accessible via Appearance / Editor. Of course doing it that way, I don’t have the edit/quick edit page where I could click on the pluggins “duplace this page” button

The procedure for reproducing the bug:

1. Install the Polylang plugin, add two languages
2. Create two articles in different languages ??and set a link between them

When working with polylang normally, you cannot add a translation link if this translation link is already set for another article.

First off I would like to thank you for developing this plugin. It has saved me countless hours over the last 5 or so years as many of the 3000+ pages and posts on my site are quite similar to others on the site.

I have been experiencing a problem over the last week or 2 that is making the user experience a little less pleasant. When I duplicate both pages and posts it creates 2 copies every time I click the link.

I duplicated a series of Woocommerce coupons today and they show a positive usage counts despite being brand new. Can I change this somewhere or do I have to recreate the coupon from scratch?

When logged in as an editor on a mobile device, the black admin toolbar at the top has a pencil icon allowing you to edit a page you have browsed to. When clicking the pencil it is supposed to take you to the editor. Instead a dropdown appears with one item: “Duplicate this as a draft”. Mobile users are unable to edit pages because the pencil icon has been disabled by the dropdown. Any ideas?

Can we add a link for delete post too ?

Hi, i’m new to creating websites, so apologise in advanced for my stupid questions but I could not find the answer.

I’m creating an agency type of site which entiales me creating different profiles for clients to view. I’ve created the first profile how I want it, so I wanted to duplicate that page so all I need to do is change the page name, picture and thier details on the profile.

When i duplicated a page to create another profile, it also changed the details of the original profile.

When i enter quick edit, these are the settings….however I don’t know how to set each profile up so they only edit themselves and not the original page.

When on an Event, this Duplicate plugin shows up at the top of on the admin bar under edit page. It throws an error if you try and use it, *Error! Post creation failed, could not find original post: 0) and is therefore a distraction. Is there a way to either make it work, or to not show on Event page admin bar?

This is such a great plugin – I’ve been using it for years on many websites. Will it continue to be updated? It’s been 9 months. I worry about having obsolete plugins on my websites.

Does Duplicate Page process any personal data of the end users of the websites on which this plugin is installed (be those Regis users or just visitors)?

While this plugin is 100% translated into Dutch, the translations for translate.www.ads-software.com aren’t showing on my websites.

I had to use Loco Translate to translate the plugin and the settings page.

Have been using this plugin for years, and this is the first time have had a problem.

I’m having a problem with the plugin when “Choose Editor” setting is set to “All Editors” or “Gutenberg Editor”.

When I update any post type in classic editor and I fill in an ACF image or document type field, the preview of this image/document is not showing and I have the following error displayed in the console :

The only way I found to fix the problem is to set the “Choose Editor” setting to “Classic Editor”.

I’m using the last version of the plugin available now (4.5.3) and WordPress 6.4.3.

I have narrowed down an issue with duplicated pages losing certain color information when the page is duplicated.

When I try a different plugin like Yoast Duplicate it works fine.

Perhaps there are issues with CSS vars and the duplication logic. At any rate, this appears to be a bug in this plugin.

I have used this plugin for years but one site it no longer shows the option to duplicate a page or post latest wordpress version, can’t deactivate plugins because they are needed

Is there a filter I can use to restrict the plugin from duplicating certain custom fields? ex: I use the Yoast SEO Premium plugin, and when I duplicate a post I don’t want to duplicate the meta information.

Hello. I am using the current version of all my plugin and WordPress. Although I love your plugin and it has saved me a lot of time in the past, I had to deactivate it a few days ago because it all of a sudden was causing 404s with all of my Rank Math Plugin sitemaps and my Perfect WooCommerce Brands Plugin brand URLs/links. Is there any way to correct this so that I can activate your plugin again?

If I remove Duplicate Page plugin will all the pages I duplicated with the plugin still be there or will they be lost once I delete it – because I don’t need to use it anymore.

Hi,

I have a custom block, that stores a JSON string in one of the attributes. When duplicating the post, the escaped qoutes get replaced by simple quotes, which breaks the json parse function.

Code from the database (original post) like this:

alt=\"\"

Gets duplicated (duplicate from database), like this:

alt=""

Causing the JSON.parse error on the frontend edit page.
Which means the copy is not exact.

Would be great, if you could address this.

To replicate the error, create a block, that stores a stringified JSON string in a DOM element dataset attribute, like for example data-card-content, and renders the content using the JSON.parse function in JS with map.
Save the post with the block.
Duplicate with plugin.
Attempt to edit the duplicated post
JSON.parse error within a value

is there a plan to update the plugin?

I’m using the Members plugin to limit access for content managers, but I do want them to be able to duplicate pages. I don’t seem to be able to figure out how I can give them this access. Is there a way to do this?

So i needed ashram page duplicated and after installing your plugin I duplicate it and renamed each page accordingly.

Now neither pages loads and I’m really pissed off … The funny thing is the page it loads in Elementor editor and I can modify it , but i cant display it.

So how can i revert to my previous state of page ashram ?
